Hi again! It’s me, Laura. Your cookie and baked goods-loving dietitian. Since it’s 2026, I thought I would reintroduce myself. I’m a mom to two teens who still love to challenge my encouragement of veggies, a Capricorn, and a dietitian for about 23 years, since the Ice Age/BSM (before social media). My background spans clinical settings, private practice, academia, media and brand work, consulting and digital education. Aka I’ve worn a lot of hats 😁🤠. I always knew what I wanted to do so I majored in nutrition and minored in Spanish. Hola amigos! I went into this field because I am a foodie first. You can love food AND still be healthy (aka balance/my whole philosophy). I have 2 Goldendoodles. They are both named after Grateful Dead songs. I will never give up on Britney Spears. Always loved her, always will. Baked goods, especially warm choc chip cookies, are my love language. But so are avocados. See, balance. I published a smoothie book and named 100 recipes after people, places and things in my life at the time. It’s pretty cute. I closed my office during Covid and have been running a virtual practice ever since. I can see anyone from anywhere and it’s the best for client success. My clients and I are partners and I am avail to them 24/7 (except when 😴). It’s the only way I will do it and it’s why I am different than someone else you worked with. Because food and habits and life are every single day. It makes you a super strong person to ask for support with things you’re struggling with so please reach out and let’s chat if you need help simplifying your diet and habits and life so that ultimately you can live not just a longer life, but more importantly, a healthier and happier one. I always promise to keep nutrition real, relatable, and judgment-free. Happy Friday! by @getnakednutrition
Now this is why social media can also be fun. Describe yourself in 10-ish words? Ok let’s go. Mom/dog-mom/OG dietitian/salad/cookies/avocado/smoothies/peanut butter/chocolate/workouts/wine/sleep. Maybe that’s more than 10 but I tried. Balance, happy mediums, appreciating each freaking day on this planet. by @getnakednutrition

What? Some people still enjoy a little vino. By some people, I mean me. And to be fair, it was Election Day so… It’s called balance. 🍷 + 🚶🏻‍♀️ = ⚖️ #getnakednutrition #dietitian #healthymom #dailysteps #healthyteens by @getnakednutrition
Did your ChatGPT meal plan forget to include pizza? Thought so. 🍕 Here’s the thing… Between your TikTok nutrition (mis)education, wellness influencers, calorie tracking apps, and now AI-generated meal plans, you’re surrounded by more health advice than ever. More information doesn’t necessarily mean better nutrition and health. It’s usually quite the opposite. And it definitely doesn’t mean a healthier relationship with food! High school, college, and young adulthood are already filled with enough pressure. Food shouldn’t be another source of your stress. But I know it is. I’m a mom of teens too and I was there once. I went to Penn State to study nutrition and let’s just say, it was pretty ironic because it was the most unhealthy time of my life. A healthy life includes pizza. And dessert. And late-night snacks with friends. And dining hall meals. And foods you eat simply because you love them. Proper nutrition is never about eating perfectly well because that’s impossible. There’s no such thing. It’s about learning how to nourish your body, trust yourself around food, and develop habits that support you for life. This is why I’m putting an even greater focus on working with you guys…high school students, college students, and beyond. I will never hand you a restrictive meal plan or another list of foods to avoid. I help you figure out how to eat well in YOUR actual life, whether that’s between classes, before sports practice, in a college dining hall, or out for pizza with friends. My goal is to help young girls (yes, you!) become confident, healthy adults who know how to take care of yourself without obsessing over every bite. ❤️ I’m currently welcoming new teen and young adult clients for personalized nutrition counseling. If you’re a parent looking for guidance for your teen, or a student ready to feel more confident around food, reach out to learn more. We have fun too because learning how to get healthier and feel better is pretty awesome 😄. https://getnakednutrition.com/contact/ #TeenNutrition #CollegeNutrition #HealthyRelationshipWithFood #TeenHealth #getnakednutrition by @getnakednutrition
It’s candy Susan, not heroin. If I see one more video of an influencer in their penthouse talking about poisonous candy and basically telling you that you are a terrible parent and will kill your kids if you give them regular brands of candy instead of the “healthier” and way more expensive stuff (that is still sugar let’s be honest), I might lose it. Halloween is a holiday and it’s once a year so enjoy the nostalgic candy that you grew up with, give yourself permission to have a few pieces of something you like, and move on. Jeez. Happy Halloween everyone! 🎃👻💀 #getnakednutrition #halloweentreats #dietitian #halloween2026 #healthyteens by @getnakednutrition

Life has been crazy lately, but when is it not? Between running my practice and helping clients, raising teenagers, being a hockey mom, and juggling ALL the things, life is FULL. And with every phase of life comes a new set of challenges. As a dietitian in my 40s who has lived through countless health trends, one thing has never changed: the basics of health will always be the foundation. Moving your body, eating nutritious foods, hydrating, sleeping, managing stress, and prioritizing the people you love. That’s the secret sauce. Not a magic pill, restrictive diet, or the latest promise from some random influencer online. Speaking of influencers, there’s something I’ve been thinking about a lot lately, both as a dietitian AND a mom of teens. Our girls need us now more than ever. I actually went into nutrition at 18 because I struggled with many of the same things teenage girls struggle with today. And that was BEFORE phones, social media, filters, and the constant pressure to look and eat a certain way. While I’ve always worked with teenage girls, I’m seeing a greater need than ever for guidance, education, and support. So I’m making this a bigger focus of my practice. I’m welcoming new high school and college-aged clients and beyond who need a trusted, realistic, compassionate voice to help navigate food, body image, nutrition, and health in a world of toxic wellness advice. Parents, sometimes the best thing you can do is bring in someone OUTSIDE the family because conversations about food and bodies between moms and daughters can get complicated! I want to be that person for your daughter. Someone she can trust, learn from, and talk to without judgment, food rules, or added pressure. And yes, I’m still seeing all my adult clients, too! If you are a teen or you have a teen who could benefit from this support, DM me or reach out through my website to learn more about working together. It’s can be fun and interesting too 😜. https://getnakednutrition.com/contact #getnakednutrition #dietitian #healthymom #healthyteens #nutritionist by @getnakednutrition
Save this post for the next time you’re in Starbucks! Current @starbucks favs in store (near me on Long Island at least) October 2026 baby 🎃. 3 protein-packed and 1 fiber-packed which is what I’m looking for, but quality ingredients first. @ellenosyogurt plain yogurt with muesli (cannot find plain in any store!) @mush protein overnight oat cups @drinkkoia shakes @flourafiber bars (amazing ingredients,15 grams of fiber from insanely good plant sources like fermented watermelon rind, cantaloupe, honeydew, mango, pineapple, white chia flour, and pumpkin seeds). Yes busy mamas and teens, you CAN still go to Starbucks and find nutritious items. That’s what I’m here for so follow along for realistic food and health tips k?!! And book a free call to chat if you’re looking for guidance in your health journey because it’s pretty awesome when you find the right support. https://getnakednutrition.com/contact/ #getnakednutrition #dietitian #collegestudents #healthymom #healthyteens by @getnakednutrition
Can everyone please calm down with the food fears already? Farm-raised salmon. Seed oils. Non-organic fruit. The list of foods we’re suddenly supposed to fear just keeps getting longer. As a dietitian for over 20 years, I’m much more concerned about people not eating enough nutritious foods than whether their salmon was farm-raised or their strawberries were organic. Somewhere along the way, we went from encouraging people to eat more nutritious foods to scaring them away from those same foods. And it’s just bananas (and btw I’m sure there is an entire Instagram page dedicated to fearing bananas 🤦‍♀️🍌). 🐟 Since I’m eating salmon in this video and I will probably get some sh*t about evil farm-raised salmon, let’s talk about it for a second. Wild and farm-raised salmon have some differences. Wild salmon is generally leaner, while farm-raised Atlantic salmon typically contains more total fat, including beneficial omega-3s. Farming practices, feed, and sourcing can also affect nutrition and environmental impact. However, both can be nutritious choices, packed with protein, omega-3 fatty acids, and important vitamins and minerals. But sometimes wild salmon is just ridiculously expensive and doesn’t taste as good to me! If farm-raised salmon is what fits your budget and frankly maybe it just looks better that day because sometimes it does, it’s still a nourishing choice. The same goes for conventional produce and foods containing seed oils. They aren’t automatically unhealthy because someone on the internet said so. I’d much rather see you eating more fruits, vegetables, fish, whole grains, nuts, and other nutrient-rich foods than avoiding them because they aren’t the “perfect” version. Your overall eating pattern and habits matter so much more than obsessing over every ingredient. Focus on more quality foods you can afford and buy what is accessible to you. Food fear is the opposite of good health. Reach out for private health counseling because I got you. www.getnakednutrition.com Love, me. #getnakednutrition #nutritionmyths #salmon #registereddietitian #healthyteens by @getnakednutrition
Based on the true story of my life currently. This is literally me so I had to recreate it. I’ve been in these exact conversations lately, probably even with the name Tracy 😹😹. The good news is that I’ve got a lesson on the calendar and I’m going to try my best to learn in an effort to have a social life. If you let me come to your mahj parties, I’ll bring good snacks. That’s all I can promise right now. #getnakednutrition #momlife #mahjong #mahj #adhd by @getnakednutrition
How many actual potatoes can you buy for $12.99? Probably enough to make like 5 bags of these chips which are half full of actually chips by the way. Common sense is officially lost in the wellness world but of course it is when you have chips in a shiny green bag that cost $12.99 while you’re happily strolling down the aisles of Whole Foods where you just automatically think everything is healthier. Spoiler alert: it’s not. I know you don’t wanna hear this, but doing and buying the boring basics consistently (many of which are free like walking, sleeping, drinking and breathing) are what will actually improve your health and well-being. You really don’t need these chips and beef tallow is not healthier than avocado or olive oil, I don’t care what wacko health influencer is telling you that because it’s complete bullsh*t. Ok have a nice day. Time to drive to hockey again 🫠🫠🫠🏒🏒🏒🏒🏒.
