went to napoli and reunited with some of my fav people 🌶️🌶️ by @giandim9

Today i have lost my best friend of 9 years. It happened very suddenly, unexpectedly and in my arms. my heart feels like it has been ripped from my chest. if you know me then you know that my cat was always a huge part of my life and i just had an intense bond with him to the point where i saw him as my child. i knew when he wasn’t feeling well, and he always knew when i was mad, sad, or disappointed because he would cuddle up next to me and comfort me. I got home today from the emergency vet with an empty towel in my hand and i still expect to see him walk up to the door, with his collar ringing and meowing at me to give him attention. I think he’s hiding like he always used to scare me, only to find an empty cabinet, empty cupboard.

Honestly i was debating on making this post because i didn’t want to make a big thing out of it, but posting and writing about it helps me cope with the reality and makes it feel more tangible. I’ve been trying to figure out what lesson I’m supposed to learn from this and i just think about how just his presence made people happy. When i moved to my apartment in rome, he instantly made all of my other roommates so happy and lively. He didn’t care who they were or what they were, he would treat them like friends and even curl up to them as well ( but always come back to me of course). I can only try to do the same. Bring joy and comfort to people, even when i myself am not feeling that great. That’s how pure and beautiful my harry was and i never took one second for granted. Even until the end. I love you and rest easy, my baby by @giandim9

saw my twin (the one statue i’ve been obsessed with ever since learning about it in my history books) along with some fam 🫶 by @giandim9

my mom always bothered me about my room because 1) she hates maximalism (she’s a minimalist) and 2)i would get pictures me or my friends took, scraps of paper from magazines, or really anything i could to put in my walls as a sort of collage. I’d always wanted to do so when i was a kid because i would watch a lot of american media where the “cool teens” had these walls exploding with their personality. i eventually did achieve it, though i wanted to continue adding to it because i was never truly satisfied. And yet at the same time i would never get tired of looking at my walls. When i was feeling like the world would crash down on me, i would look at my walls full of people i love, memories of events, and people i admire. They all inspire me to keep going, they push me to be a better version of myself. I may not be where i wanted to be at this age but im also proud of what i’ve done. Have i made mistakes? absolutely,, im also pretty sure i might be a villain in some people’s stories without meaning to be. But we learn and adapt. grow and survive. it’s part of our humanity. I’ve reflected on this as I am unpacking what i have left of what once used to be my own bubble where it was just me and my cat, him curled up next to my feet while i was reading some book or a script. it might not feel like it now, but i know I’ll get that feeling back one day. love, gian

PS this is no cause for alarm just trying this new thing out where i use insta as an outlet for expressing what im feeling through pictures by @giandim9

feeling homesick for a place you can’t go back to isnt easy …that being said i trust God and the Universe’s plan, while learning to be more and more grateful for nature, family, friends, music and art. I’ve recently been forced to be by myself a lot, which has made me realize that i’m stronger than i think. My stubbornness, grit, and search for truth and honesty are what got me where i am. They will continue to do so as i travel through this rugged uphill climb. So to everyone that continues to support me despite also being in their own uphill climb, thank you and i’m climbing that mountain with you. by @giandim9
