Jeanine and I celebrated our 18th wedding anniversary with a 3 day vacation in Half Moon Bay, El Granada, Pacifica, Sausalito and Novato. We got our feet wet in the Pacific Ocean, enjoyed hearing a local jam band and a touring country band, bought souvenirs, drank beer and wine and ate very well. We also enjoyed meeting our Air B & B hosts at their modern architecture home with a great view. Good times! by @gighitao
August 30, 2026: NASA launched its Nancy Grace Roman Space Telescope. It will settle into an orbit nearly four times as far from Earth as the Moon, near a moving point in space shaped by the gravity of the sun and Earth and by the telescope’s own motion. Known as the second Sun–Earth Lagrange point, or L2, this point lies about 930,000 miles from Earth in the direction opposite the sun, according to NASA. From there, Roman can remain roughly aligned with Earth as both travel around the sun. The location will also provide the temperatures and a mainly unobstructed view that the telescope needs to observe the universe. The Sun–Earth system contains five Lagrange points. Italian-French mathematician Joseph-Louis Lagrange described the mathematics behind these locations while studying the three-body problem in 1772, according to NASA. by @gighitao
I love to dance with my neighbors at free concerts! The band, "Gas Money" is headed for stardom. They played "Whole Lotta Love" as good as Led Zeppelin ever did! by @gighitao
Our vacation to Disneyland taught me that, sometimes, fantasy is more fun than reality. I was totally immersed in the amazing rides, shows and displays! by @gighitao
