Still smiling about this cute little welcome package! ๐Ÿฅนโค๏ธ๐Ÿ‡ฐ๐Ÿ‡ท One of the sweetest parts of being a Hallyu Creator is experiencing these thoughtful gestures and feeling welcomed into a community that celebrates Korean culture and creativity.๐Ÿคญ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿป To officially begin the new session, I unboxed my welcome gifts and shared a little bit in this video.๐Ÿฅฐ The full unboxing and more on YouTube. A self-portrait is such a funny thing because youโ€™re both the photographer and the subject. ๐Ÿคญ๐Ÿ˜… I learned the art of taking my own photos myself because I was overly uncomfortable being photographed by someone elseโ€”amongst other reasons. Yes, itโ€™s an extreme spot to set up, click, preview and run back and forth (when you donโ€™t have a monitor). Here, Iโ€™m myself. Iโ€™m comfortable. I take my time to learn what works. Poses. Angles. Expressions. I LOVE IT.๐Ÿฅฐ Not perfect. Not trying too hard. Justโ€ฆ me. Anyway, hereโ€™s me being a little obsessed with myself this October. As I should. ๐Ÿ™ˆ๐ŸคŽ๐Ÿ‚๐Ÿ๐Ÿ˜Œ By the way, this is a selfie, so my second arm is working behind the scenes.๐Ÿ˜… #selfportrait #portraitphotography #romanticizeyourlife #visualdiaries #slowliving by @ginareey

It still feels surrealโ€ฆ Hearing my name echo through the speakers multiple times felt like, for a moment, I was the only person in that room. ๐Ÿฅน What a way to close another chapter. Hallyu Creators 5.0 is officially done! And honestly, showing up consistently as a creatorโ€”creating, learning and growing even when life hit hardโ€”was certainly not a walk in the park.๐Ÿ˜ญ Being awarded Best Creator and receiving the Popularity Award, alongside some amazing creator gadgets that Iโ€™m already excited to put to good use, left me feeling incredibly humbled and excited.๐Ÿ˜ข๐Ÿ™๐Ÿป I can only say God honoured me. Yes, He did! ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿพ Three years ago, I began my journey to learn about Korea and its culture and to share my experiences through storytelling as part of Hallyu Creators, a programme by the Korean Cultural Centre Nigeria (KCCN). Looking back, Iโ€™m honestly just grateful.๐Ÿ™๐Ÿปโ˜บ๏ธ Grateful for the opportunities to create, learn, connect with other creators and continue exploring my love for Korean culture and storytelling.๐Ÿ“ท And nowโ€ฆ Best Creator for the third time in a row! ๐Ÿฅน๐Ÿ† Three times. I still donโ€™t think it has fully registered. ๐Ÿ˜‚ But beyond the awards, what means the most to me is the growth behind them. Every edition has pushed me to become more intentional about my content, and more curious about the different ways I can tell stories and build cultural connections through what I create. And as if Hallyu Creators wasnโ€™t enough, I also successfully completed the inaugural edition of the KOreators Programme (KOICA Creators). That experience opened me up to a whole new side of storytelling and introduced me to development cooperation and the work of KOICA in Nigeria, Sierra Leone and Liberia. Itโ€™s been a beautiful season of learning, creating and growing. And if thereโ€™s one thing I hope someone takes away from my little story, itโ€™s this:โฌ‡๏ธ by @ginareey

Looking forward to learning, creating, and connecting with amazing people.๐Ÿคฉ By the way, Abuja International Photo Festival - 10th Edition comes up in October. @abujaphotofest Check here and plan to attend if youโ€™re a creative in any category.๐Ÿ‘Œ๐Ÿป #AbujaCreative #abujaphotofest #Korea #UNESCO #hallyucreator by @ginareey
