On the 12th July, one of the hottest days I’ve ever seen in Ireland, my beautiful cousin got married in the most gorgeous Irish manor house in Meath ☘️ She asked me this time last year to make her wedding cake and I jumped at the opportunity to be a part of the day👩🏻‍🍳 So with a car full of spatulas, palette knives and turntables, we jumped on the ferry and in my granny’s old kitchen 24hours before her wedding, I created her this🧚🏻‍♀️ She didn’t want anything massively big or overly fancy, so with a few Pinterest images sent over, this is what I conjured up. And against all odds (my reckless driving for over an hour and 29oc heat🥵), the cake survived! We had the most beautiful day with all my family, the sun was shining and the tunes were most definitely playing ✨ Congratulations @_dairemurphy and Aaron 🫶🏼🤍 Thank you for making me a part of your gorgeous day ⛪️

I just love it when a cake calls for a whole load of OTT 🪩✨💃 … and what I love even more is being left with full creative control, especially when the brief involves pink, glitter and disco balls 😆 I got sent the invitation to Paola’s party to use as inspiration (swipe to the end to see 👀) and the rest was left to me. I knew it had to be sparkly, colourful and fit for a party and I just love how it turned out 🥰 And from the photos, I think Paola liked it too 🩷

Looking for a slice of Spain in Surrey?💃 @pikoteotapasesher located on Esher High Street is serving up traditional Spanish tapas alongside paellas and expertly sourced steaks 🥘 We popped in last night to give it a try and already have a table booked for our next visit. We tried a mixture of the tapas including Tortilla Española (served slightly runny which was just 🤌🏻), Gambas Al Ajillo (which I did NOT share🤤) and the Croquetas de Jamón. We were also treated to a new tapas dish of meatballs in a saffron sauce which is making an appearance on the specials menu next week. The real star of the show came in the form of a sirloin steak served with chips, padron peppers and sautéed mushrooms🌟 I’ve ordered many a steak in my time but I have to say this one… was a winner by far 👑 It was soft, melted in the mouth and cooked to perfection. And if all that wasn’t enough, the basque cheesecake served with a fruit coulis just finished everything off perfectly. I felt like I’d been transported to Spain for the evening 🇪🇸 A massive thank you @pikoteotapasesher , we can’t wait to dine with you again soon 💛
