Miss Brazil Global and Giovanna present “Celestial Orchestra”, her Traditional Dress for the Miss Global 2026 Sash Ceremony.
A fashion work of art designed and entirely hand-painted by Brazilian designer and artist Ricardo de Melo, the dress brings one of Minas Gerais’ most iconic Baroque masterpieces into fashion.
It is a homage to the famous ceiling painting of the Assumption of Our Lady at the Church of São Francisco de Assis in Ouro Preto, where Our Lady is surrounded by angels, cherubs, seraphim and musicians. The artwork is by Mestre Ataíde, within the artistic legacy of Minas Gerais’ Baroque tradition and the work of Aleijadinho.
And this is only the beginning of Giovanna’s homage to Minas Gerais’ Baroque art. The angels will return.
