What if the future of design lies in knowledge we have carried for generations?

Traditional crafts are not just expressions of culture; they are living archives of skill, creativity and community identity. KASOOTHI reminds us that when craft and contemporary design come together, both gain new meaning.

Because preserving a craft is also about keeping the knowledge, stories and hands behind it alive.

How much should a newly graduated architect really be paid? Comment your number, and let’s see what the profession thinks. by @gita_ethos

Have you ever realised how much good design matters only when you need it?

Everyday inventions often go unnoticed until they change the way we move, work or live. The knee scooter is a reminder that design doesn’t always need to be revolutionary in scale—it can be transformative in the smallest moments of daily life.

Sometimes, the most meaningful innovation is simply giving someone back a little independence.

What if architecture wasn’t about building more, but building differently?

From homes that adapt to rising waters to spaces shaped by local materials, climate and culture, architects around the world are challenging what buildings can do and whom they should serve.

Marina Tabassum reminds us that innovation doesn’t always mean complexity. Sometimes, it means understanding a place deeply enough to build what its people truly need.

Which architect do you think is changing the way the world builds?

What if we measured a city’s success by the moments it makes possible, not just the destinations it connects?

Chandigarh’s Rose Garden and its lively underpass remind us that public spaces gain meaning through the people who use them. Sometimes, the most memorable urban experiences happen in places we were never meant to stay.

Good placemaking turns everyday infrastructure into part of a city’s social life. 🌿

Who gets to tell a nation’s story?

The challenge isn’t simply where a firm comes from, but how deeply it listens to the people, contexts and histories it represents.

Can Gandhi’s legacy be interpreted across cultures without losing its local meaning?

We remember who commissioned our most iconic buildings, but often forget who designed them. Should recognising an architect’s work be considered advertising, or simply giving credit where it’s due? Perhaps it’s time we rethink how we acknowledge the people who shape our built environment.

Who deserves the credit—the one who commissions a building or the one who designs it?

Fracturing my foot again has made me realise how difficult it is to navigate Bengaluru. You truly understand the challenges People with Disabilities face only when you experience them firsthand. It’s time we started making our city more accessible for everyone! 💛 by @gita_ethos
