Anfitrite & little Triton — Tribute to Frida Kahlo.
✨ My vision of Frida Kahlo reborn as Anfitrite, goddess of the sea — armored yet tender, cradling her son Triton in her arms. Ancient myth and pre-Columbian soul converge in a single timeless iconic presence, surrounded by the vibrant symbols of Mexican and Inca decorative art.

Turandot - Tribute to Monica and Thierry - Oil on Canvas and Silver Leaf - 60x200 - 2025

EN:
Turandot takes flight — Tribute to Monica Bellucci & Thierry Mugler.
✨ What if Turandot had wings? I brought my painting to life with AI animation — watch as golden wings unfold and she slowly advances towards you. The boundary between canvas and movement dissolves.
Does she conquer or does she transcend? Let me know in the comments. 👇

✨ E se Turandot avesse le ali? Ho dato vita al mio dipinto con l’animazione IA — guarda come le ali dorate si dispiegano mentre lei avanza lentamente verso di te. Il confine tra tela e movimento si dissolve.

La Paladina - Tribute to Frida Kahlo and the Sicily (and Wildcat of the Mount Etna / Felis Silvestris) - Oil on Canvas and Silver Leaf - 70x90 - 2021

EN:
✨ My vision of Frida Kahlo reborn as a Sicilian paladin — armored, fierce, and tender. Cradling a wild Etna cat (Felis silvestris), surrounded by the timeless majesty of Caltagirone majolica. A painting where myth, identity and Mediterranean soul merge into a single iconic presence.
What does this Frida awaken in you? Let me know in the comments. 👇

Audrey - Ephemeral Presence 🎨Oil Painting 60x200 - 2026 #silenticons #audrey #figurativepainting #oilpainting #contemporaryart by @giuseppeaccardo.art

Dioniso e l’Ombra (Dionysus and the Shadow) 🎨
Dionysus has always been the god who refuses to be contained: ecstatic, fluid, moving between genders and states of being long before those words existed. He is desire without apology, transformation as a way of life. Beside him stands the shadow — not evil, but the quiet weight of fear and judgment that history has cast over anyone who loves or exists outside its narrow rules.

This painting holds both truths at once: the beauty of living freely, and the shadow that culture still asks us to carry. It comes from somewhere personal — from growing up in Southern Europe, where that shadow runs deep and old.

Proud to submit this piece to The Queer Britain Art Award 2026, alongside two other works from the Silent Icons series: Anfitrite e il figlioletto Tritone and Mercurius.

Endless gratitude to my muses for lending their presence to this story: Stefan Blust as Dionysus, U.E. as the Shadow. This piece exists because of you.

Some uninvited guest crashed the painting. In good news: Dioniso e l’Ombra will be finished next week, just in time for a competition in London. #silenticons #oilpainting #paintingprocess #figurativeart #artistsoninstagram by @giuseppeaccardo.art

Dioniso e l’Ombra — work in progress. Two figures, one myth: Dionysus as the god of ecstasy and fluidity, and the shadow beside him — the fear society still carries around loving freely.

Love has always worn a thousand faces — tender, fierce, silent, defiant. Dionysus knew this long before we did: that desire cannot be caged into a single shape, a single gender, a single approved version of itself. And yet, so much of society still looks away, still measures love against a narrow, fearful ruler. Dioniso e l’Ombra is a quiet act of resistance — a reminder that what some call deviation is only love, in one of its infinite forms. Tanks Stefan B. and U.E.🩷🖤

Oil and silver leaf on canvas, in progress.

Silent Icons — “Benedict”
Tribute to Alexander McQueen · Oil on canvas · 60×200 cm · 2015

A gaze that splits the painting into two worlds: above, a storming sky fading into fire; below, the flat, motionless calm of the present. As often happens in Silent Icons, the subject suspends time — it doesn’t tell a story, it embodies one.

Mercurius — Work in Progress - A tribute to Michael, internationally renowned Industriedesigner— a man of extraordinary ingenuity, intelligence, sensitivity and creative vision. A restless spirit who recharges in solitude: climbing rock faces, crossing the world’s deserts alone, always seeking the essential.
In this portrait, nudity speaks the language of ancient Greek sculpture — man in his primordial state, before all convention. The silver applications emerge like a cybernetic metamorphosis: the genius of a designer who lives at the boundary between human intuition and technical precision, between organic form and the machine.

I waited years before painting this portrait. Not because it was technically difficult — but because an icon deserves the right attributes. Michael is one of those rare people who inspire you simply by existing — and a dear friend.
