Here are our Sport Weight colors we are packing up for @wisheepwool These are a hefty skein at 400yard/130g. Milled for us by the wonderful @glacialfiberworks with our Babydoll sheep from @screaminghillsfarm and local Targhee. Then Naturally dyed by me. I already have my color picked out for my Linden Cardigan by @bmandarines What’s your favorite color? by @northernbeestudio

Ever since we bought our @glacialfiberworks machinery from @belfast_minimills last year, I’ve dreamed of this yarn. We’ve practiced, reworked the math, tried again, rinse, repeat until it kind of got put on the back burner as we worked through customer orders and still kept chewing on the math in our brains.
YOU GUYS I’M SO FREAKING EXCITED THAT WE DID IT!
Whew, got that out of my system 😄
Debuting at #wisconsonsheepandwool is our new yarn, Ice Age. We named it after a very significant impact to our area -there’s a segment of the Ice Age Trail down our road- that occurred slowly. This yarn is kind of like that, it changes slowly as you use it, going from one color to another. It’s a light sport/heavy fingering weight with 400 yards per skein. We will only have 5 of each of these with us at the festival so if you see one you like, come see us first. 🐑 taken in Westboro, Wisconsin by @northernbeestudio

This yarn and these colors make my heart so happy! I think I’ll have to knit with them in February when I’m questioning why we chose to live in northern Wisconsin 😉 IYKYK I dyed the fiber in the @northernbeestudio and now I’m spinning it into a gorgeous sport weight tweed. We’ve been burning the candle at both ends for the past two weeks - @wisheepwool is so sooooon! We have so many new things to share with you at the festival, I couldn’t help but to take a snap of these Targhee singles that are waiting to be plied. They’re just a few of the new dyed in the wool tweed colors that we are bringing. I think 2027 should be the year of colorwork, who’s with me? 🐑 by @northernbeestudio

Check out our DK weight Targhee/Babydoll naturally dyed lineup for @wisheepwool Each of these skeins uses Babydoll fleece from our own @screaminghillsfarm along with locally sourced Targhee from a family farm. The wool is milled by our good friends in Wisconsin, @glacialfiberworks and sent back to us in skeins. We dye it here at home in the Chicago area!
