little skincare psa: dermaplaning is more than just removing peach fuzz!! it’s also a form of physical exfoliation that removes dead skin buildup from the surface of the skin & the results = smoother, brighter looking skin + the prettiest post facial glow 𑣲⋆｡˚

every client’s skin is different so I’ll sometimes layer or pair different products depending on their skin type, concerns & what their makeup needs that day.

should I do another video going more in depth on how I layer + pair my skin prep/primers for different skin types?

After just ONE facial. Swipe to see where we started.

This is exactly why I always say barrier first.

Her skin came in with visible redness, inflammation and dehydration so for her first time client facial we focused on calming the skin, replenishing hydration and supporting her skin barrier.

Something I always want my clients to understand is that the concern you notice first is not always what we need to focus on first. Breakouts, texture and the marks they leave behind might be what you notice right away but when the skin is already irritated and stressed, trying to target everything at once can sometimes cause even more irritation.

Instead we gave her skin what it needed in that moment. We focused on calming the visible inflammation, bringing hydration back into the skin and giving her barrier the support it needed.

Once her skin is ready we can gradually start working more on concerns like breakouts, texture and PIH, which is the discoloration that can be left behind after a breakout or inflammation.

After just one treatment you can already see less visible redness and a much calmer, more hydrated and refreshed appearance.

Real skin progress is a process.

First facial with me and look at her skin 😚
Her skin was feeling dull and had some acne congestion, but we were able to clear some of that out without causing irritation but look at how much brighter, glowy & smooth she looks after just one treatment 🤩!! can’t wait to see her progress when she comes back again!

swipe to see the before !!
