Van Update- we finally have confirmation that our van has been picked up from Halls Creek WA and is at the company warehouse awaiting loading onto truck to Brisbane. A representative of the transport company has said van should be at repairer on sunshine coast by 12th October … yes this year !. Will have a definitive cause then I’m guessing but 🤞 now it makes it on the next leg of journey. Thanks for checking in and look forward to our next adventure. 👍😀 by @glasshalffulladventures

Meet Bindi, new member of the family who will be a future very willing Glass half full adventurer. !! by @glasshalffulladventures

WA and Kimberley’s 3 mth adventure done and dusted and what an epic journey it was. The gibb river road, Lake Argyle, The Duncan Road, Buchanan hway, Purnululu Nat park, Broome and Dampier Peninsula, Horizontal falls. Wolfe creek crater sunrise to sunsets - it was a trip of a lifetime. Of course no trip is perfect and we had our share of failures and issues. - lost air con in landcruiser day 2 of Gibb , tyre puncture and of course same wheel hub leaving us stranded in Bungle Bungles 🤷🏻‍♀️Reality bites coming home but when you walk through the front door , Dorothy was right”there’s no place like home”. Looking forward to catching family and friends and Scott is itching to get onto his project car. Sadly the van is still in Halls creek waiting trucking back after our disappointing wheel hub issue . Will post updates when they happen and hope we will be back out there discovering more of this country soon. Thanks for following our journey , have a few plans already brewing for the next one. Safe travels and we will see you out there again soon. Toodles for now Scott and Leigh #brisbanetobroome #kimberleybucketlist #gibbriverroadadventure by @glasshalffulladventures

Scotty’s last pie appreciation for the trip and ending on a ripper! @mundubberabakery Beef bacon and cheese as usual, Perfect pastry for one hand eating, filling tasty and perfect consistency gravy and meat . “Perfect pie” 10 ✨ make the 2 minute detour off the Burnett highway , you’ll thank me later. Real cream and jam donut treat #scottyspieappreciation #piereviewsontour #mundubberabakery by @glasshalffulladventures

Emerald- short walk Nogoa river trail. If you’re staying at Gday park, can go out back fence , follow around edge of golf course and access the track from a gated fence ( well used gap in fence) (on google maps) . Ends at a weir . Nice walk 5km return from van park. #emeraldwalks #emeraldqld by @glasshalffulladventures

It’s been a long trip home relying on hotels and cabins . Not happy Jan!#travelwithoutcaravan #hoteltraveling by @glasshalffulladventures

Gibb River Road snap shots- some changes? Sure but mostly we dd it how we wanted to. Could we have spent more time? Sure. More days at free camps .and extra day at manning gorge camp. Did we see all we set out to see? Yes. We wanted to see as many gorges and waterfalls and walk to them as we were able and we did . Would we do it again? No. We did it! Move on to the next adventure. Conditions were perfect, waterfalls all running and not as crowded. Was it worth doing Mitchell Falls? Absolutely.! Check out our itinerary . #gibbriverroadadventure #gibbriverroadtrip #kimberlyadventures by @glasshalffulladventures

Another good pie finds Scotty at Merino Bakery Longreach , waiting in the queue. He doesn’t queue well so the wait had to be worth it. It was! Square pie , solid, pastry really good one hander , filling beef bacon and cheese good mix of chunk and gravy, maybe not enough bacon BUT too small 81/2. #scottyspieappreciation #piereviewsontour #merinobakerylongreach by @glasshalffulladventures

Breakfast of champions- “ if I was a pig I’d have another” Scotty’s pie appreciation finds @grantscakesandpies in mt isa and what a find. If you’re a pie connoisseur take the detour off the highway it’s worth it. Steak bacon and cheese - very generous pie, chunky filling and very tasty. Great pie 91/2! #scottyspieappreciation #grantscakesandpies #piereviewsontour by @glasshalffulladventures
