Obsessed with dark romance and morally grey men because therapy is expensive and delusion is free 🖤

POSTS STORIES REELS

💚👻 Well, well, well… looks like things are getting a little shady… and a LOT spicy! 😂🔥

@romancecartel really said LET THERE BE SMUT… and made it GLOW! ✨📚

These titles have me seeing red flags in neon green! 💀💚 My TBR is glowing, my halo is dimming, and my standards are clearly in the dark. 😂

Guess I’m about to have a bright future full of bad decisions! 👻💋

SHE WANTED HIM DEAD. HE WANTED HER. THIS ESCALATED QUICKLY. 🩸

He invited me into his home, completely unaware that the tea I brewed was laced with wolfsbane.

Or so I thought. 👀

As someone who loves a little gothic darkness with her romance, The Poisoner by @ophallic had me intrigued from the start! I can tell you that the combination of gaslit London, a vengeful botanist, and an obsessed vampire is deliciously dark. 🥀🩸

✨ Special Edition Spotlight: This gorgeous edition is from @lithavenbooktique and the gothic vibes are everything! 🖤📚

If you love Victorian aesthetics, gothic horror, morally questionable characters, and a hero who takes monster energy a little too literally, add this one to your TBR.

Because nothing says romance quite like attempted murder, questionable tea, and a vampire who decides YOU are his new obsession. 💀☕

🖤 Tell me, book besties: Have you read The Poisoner yet, or are we adding another dangerously attractive red flag to the TBR?

🖤✨ FAECRATE REP APPLICATION ✨🖤

Some people fall for the hero. I fall for the villain, the morally gray MMC, and the fictional red flags that would have my friends questioning my life choices. 😂

Hi, I'm Glitched! A Northern California book lover, photographer of 14 years, and someone who's been obsessed with stories since I was six. These days, you'll find me buried in dark romance, romantasy, and anything featuring a villain I probably shouldn't be rooting for.

📍 Northern California, USA

Why @faecrate

Books have always been more than just books to me. They're an escape, a passion, and a way to connect with people who understand our love for fictional worlds.

As a photographer, I love bringing books to life through creative, moody flatlays and artistic bookish content. I'd love the opportunity to share my passion for FaeCrate's editions, support the authors behind these stories, and connect with fellow readers who appreciate the magic of a beautifully crafted book.

I'm a little gothic, a little bubbly, and always happy to scream about books with my book besties. Being part of the FaeCrate family would be such an exciting opportunity to share that passion with an amazing community. 🖤

Explosion... 💥 What do we have here?

Just a list of super dark, pitch black romance.

The kind of books that make you question your sanity, double check the trigger warnings, and somehow keep turning the page anyway.

Who's brave enough to add another title to the list? 🖤

🔥 THE SHADOWS JUST GOT A WHOLE LOT DARKER... 🔥

Okay, @romancecartel REALLY understood the assignment with these Silvercrest Academy special editions. 🖤💙

Destined Shadows by K.C. Kean is book two in the Silvercrest Academy series, and if you thought Raven's life was dangerous before... absolutely not. It gets SO much worse. 😂

Raven Hendrix is dealing with forbidden magic, deadly academy politics, secrets that could destroy her, and four Bishop men who are basically walking complications.

Creed, Zane, Eldon, and Brax are all tangled up in her life, but when Raven uses forbidden necromancy to bring Brax back after a brutal attack, things take a very dark turn.

And honestly?

Raven hiding dangerous magic while trying to survive Silvercrest Academy is exactly the kind of questionable decision-making I want from my dark fantasy romances. 👀🖤

And LOOK AT THIS SPECIAL EDITION. 😍 The black, blue, and silver detailing, those gorgeous edges, the artwork, AND that quote card featuring Eldon?!

RomanceCartel absolutely nailed the aesthetic for this series.

These editions look like they belong in a forbidden library where absolutely nothing good happens after midnight... which is exactly where I want them. 🖤

🖤 A witch, a vampire king, and his arrogant little brother? Oh, I’m already making terrible decisions.

You all KNOW I LOVE my dark romance, so I am ridiculously excited about The Witch in the Dead of Night by Charlotte Buckley. And BTW… this has to be one of the most gorgeous FairyLoot editions I’ve received since I signed up. 🖤✨

Finn Erramun is living as an ordinary chambermaid in the opulent court of vampire King Mordric, while secretly hiding the fact that she is one of the last remaining witches, cast out from her village after an otherworldly terror was unleashed.

Unfortunately for Finn, the king catches her practicing magic.

Fortunately for her, he doesn’t punish her.

Instead, he gives her until the summer solstice to master her volatile powers and earn a coveted seat on his council.

And because apparently mastering dangerous magic wasn’t stressful enough, the arrogant, captivating Prince Enhart, the king’s younger brother, is assigned to train her.

A powerful witch. A vampire court. A dangerously charming prince. Secret magic. A ticking clock.

Yeah… I’m going to need someone to explain to me why I’m supposed to make responsible reading choices when THIS exists. 🖤🧙🏻‍♀️🩸

The Witch in the Dead of Night is the first book in The Flamebearer Trilogy and a dark fantasy romance that is giving me everything my little gothic heart could possibly want.

Longer Video

This is easily one of my TOP 3 favorite books I own, and before anyone asks why... BECAUSE I LOVED THIS BOOK. No further questions. 😂🖤

As a Marine wife, the military has been part of my life for nearly 17 years, so this special edition from @BookishAndSpice hits a little differently. The black and white, silver foil, and military details? ABSOLUTE PERFECTION. 🪖✨

And then there's BONES. Sir, respectfully... 🥵 My husband already knows about my book boyfriend problem and fully supports the delusion. 😂 Give that man some love for supplying the props for this shoot! Sadly, I had to crop some things out, but you get the idea. Airsoft for the win! 🔫🖤

✨ The Details:
🖤 Illustrated dust jacket & endpapers by @avendellart
🪙 Sprayed edges, reverse dust jacket & typography by @beyondthebinding_
📖 Hardcover design by @kasia.jasmina
🎖️ Special edition hardcover, collector's pin & matching foiled bookmark

🐰 The Story: Nell Gallows, callsign Bunny, is the sole survivor of Riøt Squad. Transferred to the ruthless Malum squad, she faces buried secrets, distrust, and Bradshaw aka Bones, a soldier with a grudge and absolutely NO business being that hot.

Enemies-to-lovers, forced proximity, dark military romance, and psychological warfare? Yeah, this one had me in a chokehold. 🖤

Tell me I'm not the only one with a fictional man problem. My husband has accepted his fate. 😂

@bookishandspice.au ... I need to know who is making these box decisions because they deserve a raise.

Every. Single. Time.

I open one of their boxes thinking, "This one can't possibly top the last one." Five minutes later I'm sitting on the floor, staring at another gorgeous edition, questioning why my standards for special editions keep getting higher.

The June box is an absolute banger, and Green Light by Jescie Hall has me completely hooked.
An online relationship. A shocking revelation.

Revenge.
Secrets.
Manipulation.

A twisted love hate relationship. Emotional trauma with a side of spice? Yep... this sounds like the kind of dark romance that's going to have me saying, "Just one more chapter," at 2 a.m.

Bookish & Spice really looked at dark romance readers and said, "Let's ruin their emotional stability... but make it pretty."

So... who's read Green Light? Is this a "cancel your plans because you won't put it down" kind of book, or a "you'll need therapy after chapter five" kind of book?

No spoilers... just prepare me. 😂

My shelf capacity is crying, but my aesthetic is thriving.

Look what finally arrived! 🖤

@thebookishbox absolutely outdid themselves with this edition of Terror at the Gates.

The foil? Stunning.

The custom edges? Highly dangerous to my bank account.

I’m fully prepared to let Lilith Leviathan drag me into some neo noir mafia chaos, just as long as I don't smudge this gorgeous stenciled artwork while turning pages.

Time to ignore my entire adult responsibilities list and stare at this cover for the next three hours. 📖✨

The Beasts Came was one of my favorite reads of 2026, and I was lucky enough to ARC read it. You know when you snag that gem? The one book you finish and somehow cannot stop thinking about?

Yep. This one.

Iryana hit me hard. Her anxiety, panic attacks, and trauma felt painfully real because they’re things I carry too. I wasn’t just reading her struggles… I recognized them. And that made this story hit somewhere deeper.

And then there’s Pyetar.

Sir.

You are becoming a problem.

You’re supposed to be the lethal, haunted enemy. Dangerous. Untrustworthy.

So why are you repeatedly saving her life, being mysterious, morally questionable, and making me forget I’m supposed to be focusing on the plot? 👀

I have questions. None of them are appropriate for this caption. 🤭

To save her people, she must go undercover among her enemies.
To keep her cover, she must survive him.

“Survive him” sounds suspiciously like a challenge. Just saying. 🖤

✨ Because The Gods Left releases October 15, 2026!

And a huge thank you to @madelinejameswrites for the beautiful PR package, gorgeous hardcover, sweet author note, stunning art bookmarks, and artwork. It made this already special read feel even more special. 🖤

Go check out The Beasts Came before then.

Your TBR will survive. Your sanity? Not my responsibility. 😂
