I think media has never had to say "urogynecologist" so much before- thanks to CNN for allowing me to share in experience in Gaza. There is acute starvation on top of chronic malnutrition caused by the Israelis due to their long history of limiting food jnto Gaza and now the blockade of food and all aid. Please take a listen and share.🙏🏾🇵🇸🙏🏾 by @globalgyno

Today was a beautiful day❤
Our team Dunya joined 1000's of other New Yorkers who believe in humanity and against ongoing genocide of the Palestinian people. We met our goal and surpassed it raising over $1300. It was cold and rainy and we crossed the finish line soaking wet, yet with completely full hearts and in community with the most incredible people! Our spirits were high, and we are thankful to everyone who donated🤍🕊️🤍

Hi friends,
Our team is joining the NYC 5k for Gaza on 10/11/26 , raising funds for @unrwa and efforts to bring mental health care to Palestinians kids in Gaza.
Our team's namesake Dunya, meaning world in Arabic. Read more in the next slides.

Pls see the link in my bio to donate❤️🙏🏾❤️

Three years into a genocide and decades of occupation, death and terror have left thousands of kids in Gaza needing mental health support services.

I saw Dunya in July 2025. She was a young, early 20's, woman who was also pregnant, sleeping in her tent at night, when bomb blast killed her husband injuring her and other family members. Dunya was brought in by her family to the emergency room. She had to be intubated (a tube placed down her throat because of severe inhalation burn injuries). She suffered severe burns throughout 20-25% of her body. She was
unable to speak because of the tube she had lost item in one eye and also had undergone emergency abdominal surgery for shrapnel injury to her internal organs. I
was called to do an ultrasound on the baby in the ICU and was able to show her that she had a baby boy that was alive, approximately 4 1/2 months of gestational age. I knew that she could see the scan, because she was able to blink and at this point,
We thought the mother and the baby would be able to make it. I found out soon after I got home, (I left the next day) that she had passed away due to sepsis and her
injuries and the baby of course, had also died. This was a not unusual scenario that was playing out in the hospital I was working in, Nasser hospital, but also throughout the Gaza strip at the other hospitals.

This is what #Rafah looked like this past January as we drove by.
Utterly destroyed, flattened, and "cleansed" in the words of iof soldiers admissions in NAZA.
Piles of rubble and bodies were everywhere, soon bulldozed into trucks and taken away along w evidence of war crimes and genocide.

Today my dear friend @durrrbing in Gaza told us that Israeli military forces fired missile into a residential apartment building, killing the relatives of Julia Staff, including her cousin, his wife and their six-year-old daughter. This is what Israel does daily to innocent men, women, and children. Then they lie, and lie some more.

The House is voting TODAY on an amendment that would block $3.3 billion of our tax money in military aid to Israel.
This has to end. Contact your reps. by @globalgyno

Palestinian pediatrician Dr.Abu Safiya is facing imminent death at the hands of Israelis per his lawyer. He has been held w/o charge for months,in solitary & subject to inhumane torture & unimaginable conditions. We call on all to demand his immediate release, especially our cowardly USian med orgs.

This past month, I was honored to present the Sunoo Annual lecture at Central Methodist University in Fayette, Missouri. The Sunoo lecture is a honored tradition, centered on World Peace, always an important one. I presented my personal experience as a physician in Gaza to a packed church filled with new and old friends, and family. Thankful to share these stories from Palestine, many heartbreaking, as we continue to support calls for a true ceasefire and liberation❤️🇵🇸❤️ by @globalgyno

Last week I had the honor of joining a screening of the powerful documentary "Gaza's Silent Threat", chronicling the heroic story of the Dr. Younis & Palestine's @unicefpalestine team that vaccinated hundreds of thousands of Gazan children in 2024 when polio was found in the waste water. Speaking to the Israel Palestine Working group at the @unitednations sharing my firsthand acct of how the deliberate destruction of Gaza's healthcare infrastructure makes vaccines and ALL healthcare delivery incredibly difficult if not impossible. by @globalgyno

Thank you to @phri.english for hosting this very important webinar this past weekend. We heard heartbreaking testimony from Mr. Matal a Gazan cancer survivor, Dr. Fadi a Palestinian physician in the West Bank, and the urgent need to open up a medical evacuation corridor to East Jerusalem and WB, allowing for the urgent humanitarian evacuation of thousands of patients from Gaza. Currently there's
a petition to the Israeli high court to open this corridor, since the Israeli govt has made intl evacuation nearly impossible by @globalgyno
