⭐A big well done to our Bridging the Gap October 2026 cohort!

✨Earlier this month a group of seven completed our three-day employability skills course which we run in partnership with @gloucesterservices for people interested in working there but experiencing barriers or finding the traditional recruitment processes challenging.

👏The course always finishes with an interview for a real job and five were offered positions, whilst the others gained valuable work and skills experience. We're very proud of all of them and wish them all the best for the future!

☕COFFEE GROUNDS!

🌱A lot of freshly made coffee at @gloucesterservices means a lot of coffee grounds left over, but keen gardeners will know how good these are for adding nutrients back into the soil and supporting gardens and growing projects.

📅 Every Tuesday we arrange a collection from southbound Gloucester Services and we have plenty to go around. Can you make use of a regular supply of coffee grounds, for professional or domestic use? If yes, drop us a line to office@ggtrust.org and we can arrange your collection.

❌ Yesterday evening we were at @tedxeastgatest event - 'When stories meet communities grow' - which was organised and delivered entirely by a team of young people aged 18–35 from the @chispa_cic collective, bringing the TEDx platform to Gloucester for the very first time!

⭐It was a truly inspiring and thought provoking evening with a fantastic line up of speakers and performances, sharing stories, conversations and ideas rooted in Gloucester and enabling them to meet to form something bigger.

✨We were proud to support this event and enjoyed it so much we only took photos before it started! Thank you and well done to everyone who was involved in making this happen. We look forward to the next one!

We're always looking for ways to reduce waste and yesterday we restarted our initiative to redistribute used coffee grounds to local growing projects like @weareprojectgrow, community allotments and gardens - with a total of 53 tubs collected from Gloucester Services in a day.

A lot of coffee is freshly made at Gloucester Services every day, so it's great to see the used grounds to good use across the community.

Thanks to our colleagues at @gloucesterservices for helping us to make this happen by filling the tubs, which are then brought back to be refilled and used again, with collections happening regularly.
