The weeks tick by, injuries, work, drama all sort of stuff happening but the gym remains constant, why not get out there and rebuild yourself.
I’ve trained on and off for 26 years it really is the toughest thing to change your body but hard-work, diet and rest pay off in the end!

Leg day yesterday, just about 5 months back training now and making steady progress, putting personal bests on the board most weeks.

I’ve had a minor pec tie in tear for 5 weeks so its hampered chest day but seems to be on the mend, body weight stable at 21st 5lbs, I’m trying to cut a bit but its a fine balance between building strength and muscle and losing fat, still getting 7 meals a day in, high protein, moderate carbs, low fats and low salt. 💪🏽

Everyday we get messages asking for work felling timber, the sad reality is that very few are fit to work in the commercial arena and certainly not on a production basis.

Yes trimming toes and lifting tongs look good on your tool belt but our game is not about show and palaver, we are looking to have 60 tons down and processed in a couple of hours.

Connors been with me for many years and has been coached by the elite😜, now highly experienced with skills money can’t buy, one of the finest fallers in the UK today, follow him at @connor_the_cutter

Final thinnings, sorting out an unbelievable mess, officially the worst windblow I’ve ever cut!

Nothing we can’t handle though!

GMS Forestry’s Tigercat 855 running Ponsse H8HD harvesting head cutting final thinning on huge Scots Pine, Sycamore and Douglas Fir, its not often you need a machine this size in thinnings!

The site was badly damaged in storm Arwen and was never previously thinned resulting in 100ft tall dead trees standing in the crop, many of those were rotten and came crashing down when touched by the machine or by felling other trees.

The robust build of the Tigercats protects operators well but everything has its limitations.
