Here is another key background I did for @gnome_show by @casvdp. It’s the establishing shot of the city, the idea was to keep in mind that we are at gnome size, so we needed elements around the city that reinforce this sense of scale. #gnomeshow #visualdevelopment #animation #cottagecore by @gnome_show
Zach @psychicpebble voiced the city contractor in our GNOME SHOW pilot! #animation #cottagecore #gnome #gnomes #cute by @gnome_show
I had the pleasure to be able to make backgrounds for @gnome_show by @casvdp It was so much fun and I learned a lot from my colleagues as well! I would love to see more of this show in the future. On @gnome_show by @casvdp , I did some background exploration to find the painting style and figure out how to manage colors and lighting. Here is the first environment I worked on. The goal was to create a visual reference for the rest of the backgrounds in the film. I love starting with a blurry brush and then only detailing the important parts. In Gnome Show, we are at gnome size, so the blur is even more important to achieve that macro lens feeling. #gnomeshow #visualdevelopment #animation #cottagecore by @gnome_show
We had the pleasure of working on some thumbnails for @casvdp in the early days of the @gnome_show pilot. Elated to see that some of our initial boards still made it through to the end!
