✈️ - Why is it that the closer you are to death the more alive you feel? Why is it that the most unexpected moments are the sweetest? Like jumping out of a plane and not being 100% sure if the parachute will open, or thinking that the love of your life is waiting somewhere in the world only to find out that the love of your life is already your neighbour for the past 13 years. Sometimes we humans forget that the most beautiful things in life can happen right in front of us but instead our vision is so focused on things at the horizon that we can’t see what’s right in front of us. It was a very excited and special day, hope we can make memories like these👩🏻‍🤝‍👨🏾💍

Preseason is the time to build. That time is now. 🚀

Buiten de comfortzone, in disciplines en energiesystemen die een voetballer zelden aanspreekt. Net dat onbekende maakt een atleet beter, completer en veerkrachtiger.

Vanmiddag liet ik Kingsley Ehizibue (+30 competitiewedstrijden voor Udinese vorig seizoen) en Sylla Sow (topscorer en kampioen met Abha Club) kennismaken met Intermittent Living, a.k.a. sterker door stress.

In een stevige strength & conditioning en sparring sessie, integreerden we bewuste hypoxia (zuurstoftekort) en hypercapnia (CO2-tolerantie) breathing, en cognitieve challenges onder tijdsdruk.

Zonder uitleg. Zonder voorbereiding. Van reageren naar anticiperen.

Na het fysieke deel, gingen we dieper in op de waarom en reikte ik tools aan rond slaap & bioritme, nutrition, ademhaling, koude- en hittetherapie.

Wie aan Liyam denkt, denkt aan dinosauriërs 🦖 Dus het was geen verrassing dat zijn verjaardag dit jaar helemaal in dino thema was. Van begin tot eind genoot hij van zijn eigen kleine Jurassic Park.
