We are so lucky to work in such a dynamic community that embraces the many different histories and ways of being that are alive and well in Tulsa. How healing it has been to work with artists committed to the processes of healing through storytelling and art. From the moment I met @truesonart and @ziakelty, I knew our friendship would last as long as there were questions to be answered and problems to be solved. So proud of their continued work and engagement with this city that we all love. Congrats and thank you for Equinox. We all feel the shifting. #brucegoff #adahrobinson @goff_fest @cityoftulsa @bostonavenueumc @tulsaartistfellowship @scraps_designs @britnispace @artinstitutechi @downtowntulsaok by @goff_fest
Bruce Goff: Material Worlds at the Art Institute of Chicago is an absolute masterpiece. We were so grateful to get a private tour with curators @craighlee and @afisherchicago and see so much of the beautiful archive on display. The realia, the paintings, the drawings, the music… it was truly inspiring! Make sure to visit the @artinstitutechi before the show closes on March 29th. So much gratitude to the @tulsaartistfellowship for elevating Tulsa’s homegrown architecture genius and helping get us to Chicago. by @goff_fest

Preservation matters. Visionary architect Bruce Goff created designs that pushed the boundaries of arechitecture, imagination, and individuality. Yet too many of his works have been lost. One of the most heartbreaking examples is Shin’enKan, his extraordinary home in Bartlesville, Oklahoma—destroyed by fire in 1996, reportedly the result of arson. When we lose places like Shin’enKan, we lose more than a building. We lose a piece of cultural history, a physical expression of creativity that can never truly be replaced. That’s why our team is committed to sharing the documentary GOFF. By bringing Goff’s story and his architecture to audiences everywhere, we hope to inspire appreciation, awareness, and ultimately preservation—so the remaining works of Bruce Goff are protected and celebrated rather than forgotten. 🎬 Join us in Chicago for a special screening of GOFF 🗓️ Tuesday, March 10th ⏰ 6:00 PM screening + Q&A 📍UIC School of Architecture, Room 1100 A+DS 845 W Harrison ST, Chicago, IL 🎤 Introduction from Art Institute curator Craig Lee followed by a Q&A featuring film director Britni Harris, professor Penelope Dean, Art Institute curator Alison Fisher and moderated by Karl Jones. ✨ Presented by @mascontext UIC School of Architecture and @tulsaartistfellowship 🎟️ FREE ADMISSION More information linked our bio. by @goff_fest
Long before “thinking outside the box” was a cliché, Bruce Goff was busy refusing to acknowledge the box even existed. A true architectural rebel, he rejected rigid modernist rules, embraced unconventional materials, and designed wildly expressive spaces that looked like nothing else on Earth. Non-conformity wasn’t a phase for Goff — it was the blueprint.
