Happy Birthday to my favorite person, my husband.

I’m so thankful I get to do life with you. You’re my best friend, my home, and my favorite adventure.

Here’s to 5 to 1, always dancing, and many more years of doing life side by side. ❤️

I love you more than words can say. Happy Birthday, Austin! 🎂 by @goodbetterbetty

🐾🍊 Dante’s allergy detection training is coming along SO well!

A friend recently made a carrot cake and felt terrible when she realized she’d forgotten about my orange allergy, but we turned it into the perfect training opportunity for Dante!

Even with only a small amount of orange in the cake, Dante successfully detected it and alerted! We also mixed in several negative samples to make sure he wasn’t just alerting to the food itself, and he identified the allergen correctly every time. 🥹🐾

So proud of this little guy and the progress he’s making toward becoming a reliable allergy detection dog. Every training session gets us a little closer! 🧡 #allergydetectiondog #anaphylaxis #oranges #servicedogtraining #pomeranian by @goodbetterbetty

This is a lazy Saturday, where I don’t have to rush anywhere, so I decided to play around with my pasta maker attachment that I got as a wedding gift finally! I made fresh milled flower, and then I tried my hand at noodles! I’ve only made fettuccine style noodles before, so this was very different. The last noodles were much prettier than the beginning noodles, however, I definitely need practice still! (Thank you @maria.bileychik !!!)

Introducing my CROCHET ILLUSION DOT CROP TOP ✨

I became completely obsessed with the visual effect of the Knit Illusion Dot Top by @penelopes_fiberarts, so I challenged myself to work out my own version of an illusion-dot top for the crochet crowd— and I LOVE how it came together. 🥹

✨ MAGIC. ✨

Wait… are those dots actually crocheted?! 👀🧶

DOTS. 🟣🟣🟣

And because I apparently refuse to make clothing that requires everyone to fit into the same handful of measurements 😂, I wrote this one made-to-measure.

✨ Choose your yarn weight
✨ Choose your hook
✨ Customize your crop length
✨ Customize the width
✨ Customize your neckline
✨ Customize your sleeves
✨ Add or skip the bottom band

Basically: make the top fit YOU.

The biggest rule?

CONTRAST. CONTRAST. CONTRAST.

If your two colors don’t contrast enough, the illusion disappears. If they do?

✨ MAGIC. ✨

NOT DOLLY! 😭

In honor of her memory, I am reposting my routine “Jolene”. It is an interpretation of her song from the man’s perspective. May she rest in peace and prayers to anyone grieving her loss. What a legend. by @goodbetterbetty

So this one wasn’t interesting one! If I had done this project first, I would not have done a second project. This rocker was pretty much beyond repair and definitely outside of my wheelhouse to try and refinish. It had a broken spindle and honestly just falling apart from age, but I think that my grandmother’s rocker looks way better than it did before. You see I paid a lot of money for it to be refinished and repaired a few years ago and instead of staining it, they painted it brown. It was an awful job and I am so thankful that it looks as good as it does! by @goodbetterbetty
