A third space isn’t home, and it isn’t work… it’s the place in between.

The café where everyone knows you, the front porch, the barbershop, the corner store where you linger. That’s community.

Small business owners are at the heart and soul of the community. But, across the U.S. we have been quietly replacing them with convenience and big box options, making every city the same as the next. And you know what else I keep hearing?

“We’re lonelier than ever.”

Good Company is our attempt at a third space. Not an insider’s only designer showroom, not a bustling busy café, but somewhere you can linger, smell a candle, read the whole magazine, talk to someone who cares about your life in your home and in our hometown.

Home shouldn’t be something you figure out alone… and neither should finding your people. by @goodcompanysb

Home isn’t just where you live, it’s a reflection of how you live, and the difference is really the whole reason Good Company exists the way it does.

When Owner/Founder Betsy Moyer thinks about what makes a house feel like a home, it comes back to the same three things: design, wellness, and community.

Good Company isn’t just a design studio and it isn’t just a wellness space and it isn’t just a social club, it’s all three, because that’s what it actually takes to build a life that feels like home, inside and out.

Come to Good Company to improve your life at home, and find your village along the way.

This is Dodge. He’s not actually a residential trade pro, but he knows that if you’ve ever spent time in a mom forum, you know how people find good referrals:

Someone asks for help with something & a friend answers with a name and rave review. “We used her for our kitchen! She was so great & had an incredible experience, call her.”

The personal ones are the referrals that matter, and right now they’re scattered across a thousand threads and group texts.

The Good Company Trade Pro Directory is where we’re starting to gather it all.

Try our free chat & tell us what you’re working on. You’ll get names right away, and if you want a real person to help you sort out the right fit, we’re here for that, too! by @goodcompanysb

Looking for community & a place to call ‘home’?

Village Circle membership is a shortcut to the village every parent in Santa Barbara wants but rarely has time to build — a recurring Pod of families who become your people, a kid-friendly space to actually use, and member-only events that turn neighbors into real friends.

Nobody actually does all of this alone, even on the days when it might feel that way.

Good Company is that village, built on purpose: trusted people, real community, and a place to belong while you figure it all out. by @goodcompanysb

Every person on your design project is probably good at their job... but good at their job isn’t the same as looking out for you as their primary goal.

Good Company’s Home Services team exists to be the one person in the process who’s just on your side: walking your project from bid to contract, catching what’s actually wrong before it becomes a five-figure surprise, and helping you figure out what needs fixing now versus what can wait another year.

GOOD COMPANY is partnering with the @the_mama_friends_social_club to host Morning Fika. It’s a six-week gathering for parents and little ones (0–5) rooted in the Swedish tradition of slowing down and breaking bread together.
Every Friday, October 16th through November 20th. 10am–12pm. A different activity each week. Bread buns every time.
This is proximity and repetition doing exactly what they’re supposed to do: turning strangers into neighbors.
$250 for the full six-week session. Link in bio to sign up. by @goodcompanysb

A house can look finished and still not feel like home — they’re two different things, & we’re only really interested in the second one.

This is what we hope for the people who walk through our doors: less performance, more ease, and fewer rooms designed for guests who rarely come.

That’s the whole point of Good Company.

Some of the best work happens outside a home office or a crowded café — somewhere with better light, better company, and people who actually get what you do.

The Studio Circle membership is our answer to that: a space built for the trade pros, the freelancers, the remote workers, and the creatively restless locals who want more than a desk.

Come work, come connect, and come see who else is building something incredible in our community – link in bio to join.

Good Company was never meant to be just another design studio, it’s closer to an ecosystem:

The people who advocate for your home, the trusted pros who build it, the stuff that keeps it running, and a place to build your village & gather.

We built it so design professionals and real people could actually connect, so this town had somewhere to reimagine what their spaces could be, & so families had a place where the kids are occupied (and parents can actually talk to each other).

Whatever brings you through the door — a project, a job, a Tuesday with your toddler — there’s something steadying about being around people who think a better-designed life is worth building on purpose 🫶🏼 by @goodcompanysb
