Absolutely delighted to announce that I’m partnering with ESSE Care & Wellness, Dr. Karli Provost Goldstein, and Dr. Emily Sbiroli for a webinar next Friday, May 23rd from 2-3pm EST.

I’m looking forward to sharing my personal journey as a patient and discussing the challenges of navigating #endometriosis symptoms and emergency care. Whether you’ve faced these struggles yourself or want to learn more about women’s health, this conversation is for you!

Miss Connecticut 2023, Gina Carloto, lived with undiagnosed endometriosis for more than half her life. After excision surgery changed everything, she’s now using her voice to empower others to advocate for themselves.

She founded The Grace Collective in memory of her mother, following her cancer diagnosis—long before her own endometriosis journey began.

Today, Gina is a fierce advocate for patients navigating invisible illness.

Happy #HeartMonth ❤️ Proud to have partnered with the @american_heart Association at both the state @heartconn and national level during my year as Miss Connecticut 2023 to advocate for heart health!

AHA’s health initiatives compliment the four key pillars of my personal initiative, The Grace Collective. As heart disease remains the most significant health threat to women, it’s critical that we prioritize our Health, Educate ourselves and others, Advocate for proper and timely resources, and become proactive about our Lifestyle (HEAL).

Since my year as Miss CT, I’ve earned my CPR certification and am ready to provide lifesaving support in an emergency situation. Today, we #wearred and #gored for #hearthealth ❤️

For over 10 years, I lived with debilitating pain, navigating countless ER visits, blood tests, CT scans, ultrasounds, and MRIs without clear answers. This past year, the pain and symptoms escalated to levels I had never experienced before. On October 7th, I underwent laparoscopic excision surgery with Dr. Goldstein, a renowned surgeon who gave me something I hadn’t felt in a long time—hope. The surgery confirmed I have Stage 3+ endometriosis.

Endometriosis is a chronic condition with no cure, affecting about 1 in 10 women. Despite its prevalence, it is often under-researched, underfunded, and many doctors don’t specialize in its treatment. As a result, it can take an average of 8-10 years to receive an accurate diagnosis. I had to go out of network to find a specialist I could trust with my surgery and future care. Dr. Goldstein was the first to test my CA-125 levels and truly listen to my symptoms, providing the care I had been seeking for so long. I’m incredibly grateful to her for preserving my reproductive health and to the entire Esse Care team for their continued support throughout this journey.

After watching my mom battle cancer, I knew how important it was to take charge of my health and advocate for myself. Opening up about this hasn’t been easy, but I want to be a resource for others navigating similar challenges. I’m focusing on nourishing my body through proper nutrition, prioritizing healing, and sharing my experience to help others feel less alone. If you’re on this path, know there’s hope, and there’s a community ready to support you 💛🎗️

So fortunate to have partnered with @heartconn throughout my year to support our national partnership with @missamerica and @american_heart on the state level as well. AHA’s initiatives and their message of whole-body wellness is so closely aligned with @_thegracecollective and a cause very dear to my heart. With proper nutrition and implementation of healthy habits, we actively reduce the risk of many diseases. Heart disease is the leading cause of death for women, and raising awareness about this issue is crucial.

Through The Grace Collective, we’ve focused on our four key pillars: Health, Education, Advocacy, and Lifestyle, to make a meaningful impact on our community. Collaborating with the American Heart Association has allowed us to amplify this message and drive positive change. I’ve seen firsthand how these efforts can transform lives and inspire healthier choices.

As Miss Connecticut, I’ve been blessed to work with amazing organizations and sponsors who share this vision. Together, we’ve made strides in promoting wellness, supporting women, and empowering our community. This journey has been deeply fulfilling, and I’m incredibly grateful for the love and support I’ve received.
