Graced Designs, @graceddesigns operated by a family of three, launched inside Visalia Vintage & Antiques in February of 2025! Malia, an interior designer, and her husband Adam, a drywall contractor by trade, along with their eleven-year-old daughter Eden, love traveling together to source antiques, a hobby they all share, for vendor booth #3336, located downstairs near the store’s west staircase. The family is drawn to the 1920s to 1940s, which transports them back to a time when everything was carefully considered, quality was high, and details became showstoppers. Malia says that when she and her husband, Adam, married approximately fifteen years ago, money was tight in the early days, and that brand-new furniture for the couple’s home didn’t fit the budget; that’s when they stumbled upon pieces from an Antique era for the home that became a memento of where it all started. Malia says the family’s booth is definitely different than most, and customers will most likely discover odd pieces you haven’t seen before that you would envision being found deep in your grandparents’ attic. Adam picked up a papier papier-mâché pheasant last year that had been very loved, and it was sold as guilt-free taxidermy. The couple told us it was by far the oddest and most laughed-about piece to sell in their booth. Graced Designs’ space here at Visalia Vintage & Antiques is stunning and inspired by an era the family loves. The style can only be described as: Found, Unique & Practical. Some of the items on display were picked up during the family’s vacation in Virginia, including pieces that have often come from San Francisco and Long Beach. What’s really exciting is that the family has stacks of amazing antiques in every corner of their home, ready to be brought to the Antique Mall, which should keep customers coming back for more. Malia says she loves the wonderful community of sweet vendors and staff at Visalia Vintage, and that the support and love she’s received since her family first stepped through our doors have been unmatched. taken in Visalia, California by @visaliavintageantiques

Remodels are a whirlwind, throwing one’s daily life into chaos. But amidst the stress, our family is focusing on the blessings – getting to create a home where we'll make lifelong memories. It's a lot to handle now, but it'll be worth every bit of it. by @visaliavintageantiques

Sometimes life is messy and that is okay. Things aren’t always going to be perfect but it’s in these seasons that we grow the most. Embrace the imperfections. Beauty is on the horizon. . . Here are progress photos from a big remodel we are getting close to completing. by @visaliavintageantiques

Tomorrow is demo day for a kitchen, dining room, and mudroom that is going to be quite the transformation! We are going to take these spaces from the 1950s and bring them to today, with historic details. Think plate racks, lime-washed hood, little shelves for treasures, marble + dolomite, and sconces straight from Provence. Who is ready to watch this space transform? . . photography || @hannahelyssephoto by @visaliavintageantiques

New faces are always popping in around here, so it’s time to formally introduce myself. My name is Malia: the designer, accountant, advertiser, and all communications for Graced Designs. It’s typically just me on projects but when installs hit my husband, youngest brother, and his wife become my right hand assistants (thank goodness for their support). I graduated with my bachelors in interior design 12 years ago and had my sweet Eden Grace 4 months later. From there I started an online wreath shop so I could still be a stay-at-home-mom, while helping to make ends meet. When Eden turned three I stared my design business, and what a whirlwind it has been. From model homes, restaurants, historic buildings, owning a home decor shop, and so much more. It’s been a journey of a lifetime, and there’s so many more years to go. Thanks for being here! . . photography || @hannahelyssephoto by @visaliavintageantiques

One day when I look back on 2025, I think it will take precedence as the year that changed me the most. From the biggest growth of my business, to family business ventures we decided to take the risk on…. together, to some of the biggest heartache I’ve had to undergo. It was a year I dove deep into my soul to find what strength lied within, what hurt needed to be faced head-on, and how to be an example for my daughter about changing what has always been. Our family was tried by fire this year but we came out the other side closer than ever before. Even through it all, the blessings came in abundance. I’m so grateful for all that 2025 gifted our family. Friends, no matter what last year held for you, I hope you can see the blessings through the rain clouds. May 2026 be a year rich in precious memories, lots of laughs, and blessings upon blessings. by @visaliavintageantiques

There is so much going on behind the scenes and it’s all a little bit messy. Saw dust, paint, skimming walls… but somehow in the in-between there is beauty. The vision starts coming to life. The rubble starts taking shape. And someone’s dream becomes reality. . . Here is the process of a very large remodel I’m on and the progress through the last months for their kitchen. by @visaliavintageantiques

We love job completed photos and all, but these dusty progress photos have us always so excited! Seeing the projects go from small samples boards in our showroom or mood boards created by designers or builders, right to the physical job site always makes us so happy. Malia at @graceddesigns recently sent us a few photos of some of her projects she’s been working on that are still in process of completion, and the outcome is already stunning! Make sure to keep an eye out for these. 🤝 - Give her account a follow if you haven’t already. @graceddesigns. taken in Creative Tile, Fresno by @visaliavintageantiques

A space that is not easily recreated. A space that took time and intentionality. It is collected, full of heirloom pieces. Each area is a space for conversation: where it came from, what it was used for, the hands that carried it through the years. That’s the spaces I want to create. by @visaliavintageantiques

While we are waiting for the formal dining room and office furniture to arrive, we decided it was the perfect time to start staging the spaces that are complete, the living room. This was a tricky project as the previous owners were extremely formal, with crystal chandeliers and gold everywhere (even wallpaper and painted cabinets were gold). We wanted the home to be comfortable, cozy, and a retreat for this sweet family. We wanted to bring the serenity of the outdoors, inside. I can’t wait to finish the last few spaces in this home later this summer! taken in Fresno, California by @visaliavintageantiques
