Rising to the Challenge! Four days of hiking, a sunrise summit, plenty of rain and even more laughter! Our Year 9 students headed to Girraween National Park for the pinnacle experience of their Year 9 Challenge Program. It was an opportunity to put resilience, perseverance and teamwork into practice, celebrate friendships and discover just how capable they’ve become. As Chloe reflected, “Year 9 Challenge is hard, it will test you, but by the end it's crazy to see how far you've come.”
We’re so proud of our Year 9 students and the growth they’ve shown throughout their Challenge journey! 🙌 by @graceviewcollege

Starting Pre-Kindy or Kindy is a big step, for children and for their families. 💛 When you entrust your three or four-year-old to someone else’s care, you want to know they will be safe, understood, encouraged and genuinely cared for. Our Pre-Kindy and Kindy are joyful, play-based environments where children have time to explore, create, make friends, build confidence and develop the skills that prepare them for what comes next. Led by caring Christian educators who take the time to know each child, it’s a place for curiosity, growth and plenty of play, with the reassurance of knowing your child is known and cared for. 💛 by @graceviewcollege

✏️ Building Strong Literacy Foundations. ✏️ Language gives us the ability to understand, imagine, connect and communicate. And those skills begin developing from the very first year of school. In Prep, our students are learning to turn sounds into words, words into sentences and their own thoughts into writing. These early literacy skills build capability and confidence for everything that comes next. by @graceviewcollege

We asked our students what they like about our school, and Koby loves “all the opportunities.” It’s true! ✨ Our students get to experience a wide range of opportunities across academics, music, sport, leadership, service, arts, camps and more. They’re encouraged to have a go, explore their interests, develop their strengths and discover new things they might love. ✨ by @graceviewcollege

💚🏃 Junior Athletics Carnival was a blast! Our Prep to Year 3 students took to the field for a day of running, jumping, throwing and plenty of cheering! From determined faces at the starting line to big smiles at the finish, we loved seeing our youngest students have a go, encourage their friends and celebrate each other’s efforts.
A special thank you to our families who joined the fun and our Primary student leaders who supported the events. It was a wonderful celebration of participation, perseverance and our Graceview community! 🌟💚 by @graceviewcollege

Every student gets the opportunity to lead. ✨ Each week, different year levels in Primary and Secondary take responsibility for leading our Chapel services. Students lead worship and prayer, run icebreakers, introduce guest speakers and encourage our school community in faith. With one class in each year level, every student gets to be involved. Leading Chapel is one of the ways our students develop confidence and leadership skills for life. ✨ by @graceviewcollege

When we asked our students what our school feels like to them, Natalie said, “I feel safe.” That means a lot to us. 💙 When students feel safe, they are more ready to ask questions, give things a try, build friendships and grow in confidence. Children and young people learn best when they feel known, cared for and supported. 💙 At Graceview, kindness matters, relationships are nurtured and faith helps shape the way we care for one another. by @graceviewcollege

🏃 Running for Freedom 🏃 Our Graceview community came together for the Stop Trafficking 5K, raising more than $8,500 to support @captivating_international's work helping protect children and women vulnerable to human trafficking.

“I care about it because I believe that we can all give back where we can, where we're able. Put yourself in a position where you can understand the stories of those who have struggled so much in their lives and have no way out. If you just see that and remember that what you have now is like a dream for them, then it helps you to understand that I have to give what I can.” - Alex, Year 11

Thank you to every student, family and staff member who ran, donated, volunteered and cheered our runners on. Every lap helped make a difference. 💛 by @graceviewcollege

📚 We love Literacy & Numeracy Week! It was a great week of learning, creativity and fun, as students explored literacy and numeracy in different ways, finishing with our much-loved Book Parade! We loved seeing our campus filled with favourite characters, creative costumes and excited readers! 📖✨ by @graceviewcollege

What is it like being a pastor and what I learnt after 1 week working as a pastor. Read below 👇

1. Being a pastor means being there for people whatever they need! We all need help sometimes. I spent the week seeing people facing difficult challenges like pancreatic cancer, massive operations, or other personal challenges.
2. Anyone can give it a go. My impact can make a difference. Don’t wait for someone to invite you. Try church for yourself. Try serving and getting involved.
3. Pastors are people too. It can be hard work but it’s also a lot of fun to be part of a church. I learnt a lot and had a lot of fun along the way.
4. I was able to reach my friends and tell them about Jesus.

What if you got involved with a church and made a difference too?

🎶 Serving Through Music 🎶 Graceview students brought their musical gifts to Melody Park Adventist Residential Care for a special morning with residents and staff.

“Melody Park was really fun and I loved meeting the people there. They were really kind, and I think it makes them feel nice to hear music and to have the students come and talk to them.” - Ava, Year 5

At Graceview, service is an important part of how our students express their Christian faith. Experiences like these help shape who they are becoming and show them how their gifts can bring joy and make a meaningful difference. by @graceviewcollege

Forensic investigations, electricity, magnetism, rat dissections and more! Science Week takes our Primary students beyond their regular science learning and into the Secondary science lab to wonder, test and discover.

Our Secondary students led as experiment leaders and mentors, putting their own knowledge into practice while encouraging our younger learners.

“I really liked helping the younger students and seeing them being so happy. Being at a smaller school, I really like connecting with younger students and being a role model for them.” - Emma

Hands-on science, curiosity sparked and older students inspiring younger students. We love Science Week at Graceview! 🔬 by @graceviewcollege
