A key to being on time in the swing is understanding that the “break” is for rhythm, and “release” is for timing. When the pitcher breaks his hands, you want to start your gather/ negative move. When the pitcher is throwing the ball, you should be working toward the pitcher, doing your positive move, and timing the baseball.
