Going into the world of hair was a humbling, bumpy road that I still navigate through everyday. 🫡

Here’s 3 tips that’s helped me along the way.

1. Always be ready, no one wants to book an appointment where their barber or hairstylist is still prepping their station. Some clients come early, remember that. Knowing they won’t have to wait makes them feel important (which they are). Things happen but making an effort to be ready as soon as someone walks in makes a difference.

2. Give your service something real to offer. Offer a complimentary drink, product advice, thorough consultations and real attentive conversation that can give clients the best possible outcome/experience. I’ve had people leave barbers who I know are way better than me for the experience and vibes.

3. Don’t over rely on products to make a haircut look good, most guys don’t use product. I use to cake on products to hide a bad haircut, now i use a maximum of 1-2 products per service unless requested. If their hair doesn’t look remotely the same after a shower then the likelihood of them coming back is low.
