Bitter, bright, and built for a view like this. Meet Panorama, an amaro from Vincenzo Russo in Campania, Italy. by @grapejuicegroupimporter

Meet Cordiale al Pomodoro, a tomato liqueur from Vincenzo Russo that takes the savory depth of vine-ripened tomato and turns it into something entirely new. Built on an aperitivo base with a whisper of heat and acid, it’s just as at home in a Bloody Mary as it is in a spritz or martini.

Introducing Centerba Green & Centerba Yellow, side by side. Born from a tradition of convents and quiet countryside. True to its name, “hundred herbs,” the recipe is built from a mix of botanicals. by @grapejuicegroupimporter

Join us for an unforgettable winemaker dinner with Daniele Conterno on Wednesday, May 6th at 6:00 pm!

Daniele Conterno is a 4th generation winemaker from Piedmont, Italy, known for crafting elegant, age-worthy Barolo and Barbera wines that showcase the region’s rich heritage. He is dedicated to respecting his family’s traditional style of winemaking, while continuing to elevate the quality of the wines with modern techniques.

We’ll start the night with Daniele’s metodo classico style sparkling Nebbiolo and beautiful Langhe Nascetta. We will then compare a number of his classic and cru Barolos from five star vintages like 21’, 19’, and 16’. We hope you’ll join us for a wonderful evening of Piemontese wine and food. by @grapejuicegroupimporter

Grateful for the time spent with Petit Pérou and the chance to experience the domaine firsthand.

Spending time with Hugo and his family, even just for a short while, gave us a real sense of the care, tradition, and intention behind the wines. A 5th-generation domaine where every decision, in the vineyard and in the cellar, is rooted in experience, curiosity, and respect for the land.

The facility reflects that same mindset. Purposeful, evolving, and built to support both tradition and forward-thinking winemaking.

Excited for what’s ahead.

Champagne Paul Berthelot was the perfect final stop to our trip.

We arrived in Reims and started the evening with dinner before heading to Les Clos for drinks, where we were surprised with a 1992 bottle of Paul Berthelot Champagne. One of those unforgettable moments that reminds you just how special aged Champagne can be.

The next morning, we drove to Dizy, where the original Berthelot buildings still stand. Today, they’re mostly used for storage, but they hold the roots of the family story.

The domaine is now run by Baptiste, the fifth generation, alongside his parents Valérie and Arnaud, both from winemaking families. The vineyards are practiced organically and worked entirely by hand. Baptiste shared thoughtful insights into their farming approach, including why he avoids grass between rows so the vines can focus their energy fully on the fruit.

From there, we drove up into the vineyards for a Champagne picnic overlooking Dizy and neighboring Aÿ, a Grand Cru village just behind it. Back at the modern winery we toured the facility and ended with one of the most fascinating tastings of the trip: the same Champagne tasted five times, each with a different dosage level, guessing the amount added before choosing our favorite. This process is actually an exercise they use to determine the final dosage for production.

A beautiful close to the trip and a reminder that within every bottle is a family, generations of knowledge, and an incredible amount of care in both vineyard and cellar.

Grateful to the Berthelot family for the hospitality and excited to continue sharing these wines with more people in the U.S.

At Petit Pérou in the Morgon region within Beaujolais, Hugo welcomed us to his family’s 5th-generation domaine (est. 1904), where we were first greeted by the winery dogs before heading out to tour the vineyards.

We walked parcels in Morgon and Côte du Py, home to old Gamay vines planted decades ago in the compact granite soils that define the cru. Hugo shared how each nearby appellation shows a different side of Gamay: Morgon and Moulin-à-Vent for depth and structure, Brouilly for spice, and Fleurie for fruit.

In the cellar we saw the balance of tradition and thoughtful decisions that guide the wines. Concrete allows gentle oxygen exchange while preserving minerality, steel keeps the wines bright and fresh, and older barrels add texture while letting the fruit remain the focus.

A beautiful day in Beaujolais learning about the land, the vines, and the history that continues to shape Petit Pérou.
Excited to help bring more of these wines to tables across the U.S..
