Love the process behind these posters by @sofya.frash using crafted typography ✨ Sofia Kriklii is a poster artist, typographic researcher and the founder of @graphic_nomads exploring the expressive potential of form through experimental and generative processes. Her work investigates the tension between structure and instability in visual language. _ Love Returns
I dedicate this poster to people who have lost someone they deeply loved. Some losses never fully disappear, yet love often remains. This work reflects on vulnerability, memory, and the courage to keep room in our hearts for love despite loss. Nature of Choice Nature does not choose how it is treated—protected or destroyed. The way we relate to it reflects our values. Kindness toward the planet is not automatic. It is a conscious choice that shapes our future. _ Explore more posters by designers from around the world in the 2026 Fight for Kindness Poster Gallery. 🔗 Link in bio by @graphic_nomads

For almost six months, we’ve had this wonderful book sitting on our shelf—Visual Voices for Change: Global Typographic Posters to Fight for Kindness, published by @typecampus & @zetafonts. It is a beautiful collection of typographic posters from around the world, all speaking about kindness, humanity, and the power of design to address things that truly matter. And we are incredibly happy that the works of our @graphic_nomads designers became part of it. One of the true stars of our collective last year was Igor Kulik @igarrk with his poster HELP EVEN IF IT HURTS. This wonderful work has traveled to numerous international exhibitions and received awards around the world. Igor, congratulations! We are so proud of you and everything this poster has achieved. The book also features three posters by Sofia Kriklii @sofya.frash —LOVE NEVER HITS, UNIQUE BEAUTIFUL YOU, and KINDNESS IS LOVING WITHOUT A REASON. These works have also been shown at numerous international exhibitions and have become part of this incredible journey around the world. We are especially happy to see a poster by Violetta Dontcova @off.grid.vio in the book. It was one of Violetta’s very first posters—one of her first experiences in poster design. Today, Violetta is the winner of numerous international design awards, and her posters can be seen at exhibitions and competitions around the world, from Poster Stellars to the Golden Bee. It is so wonderful to watch you grow, develop, and find your own voice as a designer. Violetta, we are proud of you! A huge thank you to @zetafonts and @typecampus for this opportunity and for creating Visual Voices for Change. You are doing something truly wonderful and meaningful, and we can only imagine how much work goes into a project like this. We are incredibly grateful and very happy to be a small part of such a beautiful initiative. ❤️ by @graphic_nomads
Last week, we said goodbye to David Hockney. At Graphic Nomads Lab, we dedicated one of our recent exercises to his work—an artist who remained endlessly curious, attentive to space and detail, and open to new ways of making throughout his life. The challenge was to create a poster in just 1.5 hours. Every 30 minutes, participants exchanged works and continued someone else’s composition. By the end of the session, no poster belonged to a single person. What emerged was a collection of unexpected visual conversations—shaped by observation, trust, and the willingness to let an idea evolve in someone else’s hands. A small tribute to a life lived with curiosity. — 1,5-hour online workshop. Three hours. One poster. Two forced changes of direction. In this Graphic Nomads Lab exercise, participants created a poster and then reframed it twice through cropping. The goal was simple: stop protecting the first idea. Designers often become attached to an early solution and miss stronger possibilities. This exercise challenged that instinct. Here are the results. — 3-hour online workshop. Against the Grain: A Graphic Design Histories Workbook (@against.the.grain.workbook)—we’re excited to share that one of our team members, @dorovskayanadya , will be featured in this upcoming publication in 2027. Nadya Dorovskaya is a graphic designer and educator working between professional practice and design education. She approaches typography and visual form as tools for thinking rather than decoration, focusing on process, constraint, and authorship. Her teaching encourages students to treat letterforms as carriers of embodied and social experience. Alongside her educational work, she continues to practice as a brand designer and art director, grounding her methodology in real design processes and cultural contexts. «I’m happy to share that my teaching exercise Music of the Streets has been selected for Against the Grain: A Graphic Design Histories Workbook—an upcoming publication exploring more critical and inclusive approaches to design history education. The exercise uses found street typography—captured through Google Maps—as visual constraints for music cover design. Rather than working from aesthetic preference or design references, students navigate the tension between what they find in urban environments and the conceptual demands of the brief. This approach treats visual artifacts as constraints that generate thinking, rather than inspiration to be freely interpreted. Thank you to the editors @against.the.grain.workbook for creating space for these conversations. Looking forward to the publication in May 2027.» — A shared project—and an important moment for our collective. by @graphic_nomads
