POSTS STORIES REELS

Hello! 👋🏻

I’m a graphic designer, and design has been a part of my life for many years. Yet the more I learn, the more I realize how much there is still to explore.

This account is my way of diving deeper into the world of design styles—not only to expand my knowledge, but also to grow as a designer. From iconic movements to contemporary aesthetics, I’ll explore their history, defining characteristics, and the influence they continue to have on visual design today.

Think of this as both a growing archive of design styles and a personal journey of exploration. My goal is to better understand the ideas behind great design, sharpen my eye for detail, and share everything I discover along the way.
Whether you’re a designer, a student, or simply curious about visual culture, I’m glad you’re here.

Which design style fascinates you the most? Let me know in the comments. 👇🏻

011 - Minimalism

Minimalism is a design style that focuses on essentials and intentionally removes unnecessary elements. Clean forms, generous white space, and a limited color palette create a calm and focused aesthetic. Every design element serves a specific purpose and contributes to the function or message of the design.

The style emphasizes clarity, readability, and visual order. Minimalism is widely used in branding, product design, architecture, and digital interfaces to create timeless and elegant solutions. Overall, minimalism represents reduction, functionality, and the power of simplicity.

010 - Brutalism

Brutalism is a design style focused on raw, unpolished, and functional aesthetics. It deliberately avoids decorative elements, instead emphasizing clear structures, strong contrasts, and often a minimal color palette. The style is characterized by massive, block-like forms and an intentionally unfinished look that highlights materials such as concrete and rough textures.

It feels cold, direct, and uncompromising, prioritizing honesty and function over visual refinement. In graphic and web design, brutalism is often used to grab attention through radical simplicity and strong visual impact.

009 - Dreamcore

Dreamcore is an internet and visual aesthetic that depicts dreamlike, often nostalgic or surreal distorted imagery. The style evokes feelings of memory, déjà vu, and unreality, often blending the familiar with the uncanny. Common characteristics include soft, slightly blurred visuals, pastel or muted colors, empty spaces, and fragmented scenes that feel like dream sequences.

Everyday locations are often isolated or distorted, creating a melancholic or mysterious atmosphere. Dreamcore is widely used in digital art, social media, and experimental storytelling to create emotional and psychological atmospheres. Overall, the style represents dream logic, nostalgia, and the uncertainty between reality and imagination.

008 - Susan Kare

Susan Kare is one of the most important pioneers of interface and icon design. In the early 1980s, she shaped the visual language of the Apple Macintosh by creating iconic pixel-based graphics that helped define the first truly usable graphical user interface. Her work translated complex digital functions into simple, intuitive, and often playful symbols.

In doing so, she made computers accessible to millions of people long before “user experience” became an established design discipline. Kare’s icons combine clarity, emotional resonance, and extreme reduction within a very limited pixel grid. Overall, she represents the birth of modern UI design, intuitive communication, and the humanization of technology.

007 - CMYK Misregistration

CMYK Misregistration is a design style that intentionally uses the misalignment of the four printing colors (Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, and Black) as a visual feature. Rather than perfect registration, color channels are deliberately offset, creating colored outlines, duplications, and optical blur effects.

Common characteristics include vibrant color overlaps, technical print artifacts, and a sense of movement, energy, and imperfection. The style references analog printing processes, transforming production flaws into expressive design elements.

CMYK Misregistration is widely used in editorial design, poster design, music and cultural projects, and experimental branding. Overall, it represents analog authenticity, visual tension, and the creative use of print-related imperfections.

006 – Conversational Webdesign

Conversational Design is a design approach for digital systems in which interactions take the form of natural language rather than traditional graphical interfaces. It focuses on dialogue between humans and systems through text or voice interfaces such as chatbots, voice assistants, or AI-powered applications.

Common characteristics include clear conversation flows, natural language patterns, context-aware responses, and intuitive, human-like communication. The style is based on real conversational structures such as questions, answers, follow-ups, and confirmations to make complex processes more accessible. Conversational Design is widely used in chat interfaces, AI products, customer service systems, and voice user interfaces. Overall, the approach represents naturalness, accessibility, and the translation of interaction into dialogue-based communication.

005 - Swiss Typographic Style

The Swiss Typographic Style, also known as the International Typographic Style, is a design movement that emerged in Switzerland during the 1950s. The style is based on clarity, objectivity, and functional communication. Key characteristics include asymmetrical layouts, strict grid systems, sans-serif typefaces, and a clear visual hierarchy.

Design elements are reduced to their essentials in order to communicate information with maximum precision and clarity. Decorative elements are largely avoided in favor of structure, order, and readability. Overall, the Swiss Typographic Style represents rationality, precision, and timeless visual communication.

004 - Collage Design

Collage Design is a visual style that combines different images, illustrations, textures, typography, and graphic elements into a new composition. The style thrives on contrasts, layering, and the intentional fusion of diverse visual sources. Common characteristics include cut-out shapes, mixed media, irregular arrangements, and an experimental approach to space and hierarchy.

The design can be created using analog, digital, or hybrid techniques and often feels dynamic and narrative-driven. Collage Design is widely used in editorial design, branding, poster design, and contemporary art to create expressive and imaginative visual worlds. Overall, the style represents diversity, experimentation, and the creative recombination of existing elements.

Information about the Work:

Do not forget!

Millions have forgotten. Forgotten to remember the crimes of the Third Reich. Current political developments continue to fuel this phenomenon, strengthening the foundations of far-right movements. The atrocities committed under the Nazi regime are gradually fading from our collective memory. They grow ever more distant, losing their clarity until they risk disappearing into the darkness of history.

Common characteristics include vibrant or pastel color schemes, blurred shapes, and a strong atmospheric quality.

The design often feels spatial, digital, and emotional, without relying on concrete objects or clear symbolism.
