@shopneverwhere, thank you for designing the perfect staple piece with thumb-hole sleeves. As someone who has chronic pain and illness, which can make me chronically cold, it’s rad to have a piece like this that I can wear thay actually keeps me warm but still feels like I’m barely wearing anything.
@Diewithbootson: thanks for the lightweight heels I can actually walk in. by @graveyardrat_cage

We’ve had many instances in our cemetery strolls where I’ve felt that Cypress was seeing things that I cannot. Could it be Spirits?

•What’s different about our Cemetery walks is that the Cemetery is the only place Cypress doesn’t pull when he walks.
•His walking pace differs as a more cautious and curious stroll, rather than an excited, energetic walk (where he traditionally pulls most of the way.)
•Cypress is also curious and observant on his usual walks, but again, he will normally look while walking at a quick pace.
•During cemetery walks, he may all of a sudden stop in his tracks to stare intently at whatever he is seeing. In each these clips I have been able to rule out usual distractions such as squirrels, rabbits, birds, and (living) people; so I really don’t believe that he’s seeing critters.
•The other variable is that his gaze is often fixed and/or floats up and across or is fixed at a distance, straight ahead.
•Finally, usually if he is distracted by something (living) he will often try to run towards it or ‘greet’ it. In these cases, he seems to be transfixed, yet keeps his distance.

I’ve compiled clips of moments of what I feel I captured is Cypress possibly seeing Spirits.
The last clip you can hear his pace of breathing get deeper and faster, as if something is coming close to him and he gets quite excited.
It may sound strange or unbelievable, and I know I have not much to show for it, other than to say, I know my dog and when I see slight changes in behavior, it does make me take notes that there is something different at play.

We were able to fit in a beautiful cemetery stroll at Pioneer Cemetery, in Eugene Oregon. It’s so meditative to pay respects to those that came before us and to see these lovely gravestones- some dating back to the early 1800s 🤯
An interesting fact about Cypress is that he is familiar with this energy since he often came with me to work (at the Pet Morgue) when he was younger and as you can see, he’s comfortable in cemeteries. It is a very Western concept to be freaked out and weirded out by death and all the elements of it, and while I do understand that a bit, I also know how profound it is, and how important it is to honor its process.
