A collage series on my grandma’s dementia I did some time last year for a class that I thought I should post. Swipe to read my 1 billion words about it. Stopmotion I did for college recently :) This piece captures a fleeting moment of childhood innocence and creative freedom. My mother first encouraged me to draw at age three, and the miniaturised drawings you see in this piece are replicas of the actual drawings I made, lovingly preserved by my mother until now. My mother often told me that she kept selections of my art from the moment I could grasp a pen, because she wanted me to ‘have a tangible reminder of just how far you’ve come’. I often look back on that early stage in my creative journey with fondness. It was a time when I made art purely for the joy of making — without fear, without worrying about whether it was “good,” and without any pressure to follow the so-called rules of art. I was unburdened, creatively free, and simply doing what made me happy. That was when I first fell in love with art. Today, I often find myself weighed down by a sense of perfectionism. This piece is both a reminder and an invitation — to let go, to reconnect with that childlike sense of wonder, and to create with the same unfiltered joy I once had. by @greeblegrub

Canaries should stay above ground . Everyone say thank you the Magnus protocol for introducing me to the concept of canaries as a visual metaphor for warning signs 🫶 I know this isn’t really fanart but we can pretend . . . . . #postercolor #postercolour #themagnusprotocol #tmagp #themagnusprotocolfanart #gouache #illustration #traditionalart #collage #acrylic #mixmedia #oilpastel by @greeblegrub
