Finland Foto: @satuvirne Looking at nature photography is worth it! Looking at images of nature has many effects on health and well-being. The effects of nature on health have been extensively studied. Here is a brief summary, heavily condensed from scientific sources. Looking at nature photography can influence the experience and perception of pain, helping to alleviate it. It helps with recovery and can reduce stress, exhaustion, and anxiety. Nature images can help attention recover and restore itself after tasks that place a heavy demand on attention. (Studies involving ADHD have also produced promising results.) Looking at nature photography generates positive emotions, which can contribute to an increased sense of well-being and a better quality of life. In natural environments, people also tend to perceive other people more positively. (For example, research has examined the effects of built environments in slum areas on violent behavior.) Nature and nature photography have numerous effects, some of the most remarkable findings involving people with ADHD and depression. In both groups, spending 20 minutes in nature has produced positive effects. Share a nature photo you’ve taken, or tell us what effects you’ve noticed when looking at nature photos? #naturephotos #natureandhealth #greencare #canoe #cumulusclouds More inspiration: 👩🏻‍🎨Art @satuvirne 🐭Pets @pikkutuholaiset by @green_barricades
Lahti Finland Foto: @satuvirne Highlights from our visit to Lahti. Our destinations included the lovely Kahvisaari and Myllysaari. The trip also included a visit to the Motorcycle Museum and Mastola, the Radio and TV Museum. Then we watched the Musical Fountain, and finally made a quick stop at Kiikunlähde Spring. Kryžių kalnas Lithuania Foto: @satuvirne Wow, what a truly extraordinary and incredible experience. There is a story told about The Hill of Crosses, about a father who received a message in a dream. He was told to erect a cross on the hill. The man went to the hill and put up a cross. After this, his sick daughter was healed. The villagers had known about the daughter’s condition, so when news of her recovery spread, people began placing crosses on the hill. The history from around 1830–1850 is connected to remembering people who were executed during the uprisings. Relatives erected crosses in memory of those who had disappeared. The crosses have also been destroyed or attempts have been made to remove them. Yet they always appeared again. Today, the hill is estimated to be adorned with around half a million crosses. Lahti Finland Foto: @satuvirne The best thing about travelling isn’t necessarily going abroad. Sometimes the most breathtaking moments can be found close to home. On an evening walk, you might witness an amazing sunset or stop to admire a swan gliding by. Here’s one of my own wow moments — birds suddenly taking flight. Every day can hold a little wow moment. The most important thing is to get moving and keep moving. What’s your wow moment? Share it with a photo or in words. ✨ More inspiration: 👩🏻‍🎨Art @satuvirne 🐭Pets @pikkutuholaiset #birds #bridge #wonderfulmoments #strengthfromnature by @green_barricades

One of the lakes in Finland, you still have to see the rest of the 57,000 (over hectare) and 300,000 (under hectare) lakes. Guess, do they swim and fish here in the summer🐠🐠? The most common dream of Finns is to own a house by the lake where they can live only in the summer. So a summer and a winter house🤷‍♀️ More inspiration from my other pages 🏔️Adventure @green_barrikades 👩🏻‍🎨Art @satuvirne 🐭Pets @pikkutuholaiset I recommend these pages 🐠@aqarium_artisans #summer #I love summer #orange landscape #sky colors #sun #sunset #sun on the lake #orange lake #Finnish lakes #Finnish sunsets #summer evening #summer photo #summer photography #sunset photo #aurinko #auringonlasku #auringonlaskujärvellä #kesäilta #kesähetket #kuvasuomenluonnosta by @green_barricades
