Community. In a world plagued by a “loneliness epidemic” this word becomes more important than ever. For us here at Footprints, community is a call you make when you’re injured but have a dream. You hope and worry, anxious that no one will heed the call and run to help. But the funny thing about asking for help from your community? They actually show up. Again. And again. And again… Like the folks over at @greenracingproject. They were up skiing in Solider’s Hollow yesterday, but today they are running 26 miles around the north eastern side of the lake. They heard the call. They brought reinforcements. They are true community. Skye has been with us from the start. He showed up in hand spun pants, plant fiber woven shoes, and food he had personally foraged or grown himself. He’s proving that in sustainability you can still be deeply committed to community. @martiskka rode her bike from Salt Lake City to join up for the rest of the run. She came all the way from Italy to support in the best way possible. Changing from biking to running and back again, she’s proving that whatever you put your mind to is possible. Running alongside @traildocta who knows that the best way possible to have community is to be community. Showing up to support fellow runners by running and sometimes by creating magic for the Ogden trail running community. Doing a Big Thing like running around the Great Salt Lake cannot be done in isolation. It needs to be done with with friends, however they can manage it. Not all of us can run 260 miles let alone 2. We’re proving that shouldn’t matter. Come as you are, as you can. Remember to breathe in moments of community, share a laugh with a new friend, and ask for help when you need it. You’ll be surprised who shows up for whatever Big Idea you have. 📸 @nickmdanielson (who always heeds the call of community, with camera) #wherethewaterwas #greatsaltlake #utah by @greenracingproject
The 2026 World Championships concluded in Amsterdam this week, and those of us at home are fueled up by watching the past and present sprigs that competed. 🌿 🇺🇸 Jacob Plihal finished 6th in the M4x in a highly competitive field, capping off a strong year of racing. 🇺🇸 Holly Drapp and Jesse Ryno traveled to Amsterdam with the team as spares, contributing to the squad and gaining valuable experience throughout the week. 🇵🇷 Kevin Harvell demonstrated strength and grit during his World Championship debut in the M1X, representing Puerto Rico. We also get driven forward by all those who took some strokes on “The Hoz” on the road to the team. Proud of them all and ready for more steps towards #LA2028 🌿 by @greenracingproject
Canadian Henley 2026 in the books! We took a solid squad to “Canley” this year with both a great group of U23s and some seniors. We entered 17 different events and everyone raced in at least 3 events for a lot of 2ks down the course. Aside from bringing home 7 plaques and going 1-2 in both the Senior Women’s Single and the Senior Women’s pair, we had a ton of great performances, new personal bests, and some exponential growth in small boats. One thing special about “Canley” is that there are only awards for first place. Each event has a massive trophy that stays in St. Catherines as well as one gold medal and a commemorative plaque. Setting a new Craftsbury record, this group brought home 7 plaques: 🥇 Senior W1X Paige Wheeler 🥇 Senior M1X Quin Woods 🥇 U23 W2- Alex/Sophia 🥇 Senior W2- Paige/Charlotte 🥇 Champ W1x Paige Wheeler 🥇Champ W2- Cillian/Jayna 🥇Senior W1x Dash Charlotte Wiley Beyond the racing, we will miss the the U23 rowers and all they brought to @craftsburyoutdoorcenter, both on and off the water. We hope that all of them bring new speed, experience, and perspective to their collegiate programs. For our “Canley” seniors not continuing on to Amsterdam for the World Championships, this is our chance to rest and reset ahead of building into another year this fall. 🌿 @henleyregattaca @concept2inc @regattasport1 @beashark @rowfluidesign by @greenracingproject

Speed earned. Opportunity ahead. 💪 The Green Racing Project 🌱 showed its depth at USRowing Summer Speed Orders. From Craftsbury, Vermont, to World Championships abroad, these athletes continue to prove that world-class rowing and purpose-driven performance go hand in hand.🌱🚣 #beashark🦈 USRowing Summer Speed Order | 3-5 July | Mercer Lake | West Windsor, NJ 🇺🇸 🥇 BW1x Cillian Mullen 🥈 BM1x Sam van Adrichem Boogaert 🥈 BW2- Sophia Cavalieri & Alexandra Pearson 5th BW1x Kathryn Koleto 6th BM1x Owen Robertson 6th W2- Holly Drapp & Anna Jensen 6th M2- Thomas Woods & Jesse Ryno 📷 @usrowing by @greenracingproject
GRP Row headed down to our regular destination of West Windsor, NJ, to compete in the Summer Speed Order and U23 World Championship Trials. Senior athletes competed in the Summer Speed Order, which was the final opportunity to earn an invitation to the final leg of selection for the World Championship team. Meanwhile, our entire U23 squad jumped into the U23 trials ring with the majority of athletes racing a small boat between the buoys for the first time! Senior sprigs Jacob Plihal, Anna Jensen, Holly Drapp, and Jesse Ryno all earned invitations to the final senior Selection Camp. Over the next weeks, they will undergo a challenging selection process to try and earn a spot for the 2026 World Championships in Amsterdam. Other seniors had some solid performances with both pairs in the A finals and three women filling out the B final of the single. Meanwhile, Cillian Mullen delivered an outstanding performance, winning the U23 Women's Single (BW1x) and securing a spot to represent the U.S. at the U23 World Championships in Germany next month! The U23s landed two people in the final of each single finals with Katie Koleto joining Cillian, and Sam van Adrichem Boogaert and Owen Robertson filling out the U23 men's single. Sam came in second in the event. The rest of our senior and U23 squad gained valuable racing experience to build off of as they look towards Canadian Henley. Time for all to turn over more stones in season to see what we can find! 🌿 by @greenracingproject
The GRP runners continued their incredible seasons last weekend with two different races in the northeast! At the Killington race by @cirqueseries we had @stephen.kerr run a super strong race and finish in second place. Not far away in the Whites we had @proy_jenkins finish 10th at the Mt Washington road run, an annual classic that draws huge competition. On the women's side @hrowe802 took third just ahead of Kasie Enman. These videos came from GRP athlete @brittanofilters who didn't race but did climb all the way up Mt Washington to support her teammates. That's what it's all about. Thanks to @joevigerphoto and @ianprescottsmith for the Cirque Series photos. by @greenracingproject
Western States @wser is the oldest 100-mile race and it annually brings together the best runners in the world to compete at the sport's highest levels. Simply winning an entry is a huge victory, and the GRP's @canyonwoodward won his way into the race two times this year. Then, when it mattered most, he ran in the fastest edition the race has ever seen and finished 8th overall. His time of 14:45:24 would have won in 46 out of 52 total editions of Western States. And he did it all with a smile and a thank you to every volunteer. Congratulations Canyon: we couldn't be more proud of you. Photos by @t.dils for @patagonia_trailrunning by @greenracingproject
