Our recently completed project, K1 Residence at Coimbatore, has won Silver in the Terracotta Reimagined category at the Terracotta Design Awards 2026. An ode to the childhood home of the family. The home is conceived as one integrated system: barrel-vaulted, hollow-core terracotta roofs and parametric jaalis, rooted in memory, materiality and passive strategies. Thank you to @nuvocotto and the jury for the recognition, and to the client, consultants, contractor and site workers who built this with us. #K1Residence #TerracottaReimagined #TerracottaDesignAwards2026 #Nuvocotto #BarrelVault #ParametricJaali #PassiveDesign #SustainableArchitecture #IndianArchitecture #Coimbatore #greenumbrella by @greenumbrella.in

A gentle extension of the dining space where greenery slows the pace, soft daylight filters in, and the act of eating becomes a pause rather than a routine. Anchored by natural light, the garden sits at the heart of the home, quietly shaping how the spaces around it are lived in. Rainy days slow this room down. Diffused daylight softens the space, letting the materials come forward. The beautiful textures on the rugs add warmth, the wooden flooring softens the sound, and the table catches a quiet, restrained glow elevating the space. It is a living space designed to pause with you. A staircase that does more than connect to the next level. Visually light and sculptural, allowing light to flow through and make the room feel larger. A quiet composition of wood, metal, and stone brings the space together. For the light that guided us through the year and the hope that carries us onward, we are grateful. Every client who believed, every person who journeyed with us, and every place that allowed us to listen before we built — thank you! Seasons of this skylight, from inception to finish. We step forward with humility, hope, and purpose. #greenumbrella #skylight #architecture #bangalorehomes #gratitude by @greenumbrella.in
There’s a certain calm that comes when materials start speaking for themselves. Thoughtful brickwork, soft light, and spaces that breathe. Almost complete. This brick wall acts like a gentle filter between the street and the home. It lets in fresh air, plays with sunlight through the day, and creates soft shadows that make the space feel alive. An idea that keeps the house naturally bright, cool, and comfortable. Blurring the boundaries between inside and outside Even on a small plot, creating an open yard makes a big difference. It brings light, air, and greenery right into everyday living. The home feels more open, calm, and connected to nature—where the sun, breeze, and plants naturally become part of family life.
