Greenwich Locksmiths is the smallest freestanding shop in NYC, Phil Mortillaro holding it down since 1980 and doing the absolute most with that square footage. They’ve kept this institution going for decades. Go support so we can keep this West Village corner intact! by @greenwichlocksmiths
Have you seen our castle keys? In a different time, all keys were works of art. Locks were for the wealthy and having a key was a status symbol. Artisans of the time crafted beautiful and symbolic ornamental heads for these keys. Greenwich Locksmiths continues this tradition by fabricating your ordinary apartment keys into beautiful pieces of functional art. The quality of our work is on a separate level – your key will be made with the head of an actual skeleton key yet function as your actual house key! Each one is handcrafted by Philip Mortillaro We have many different styles available, including a couple new ones so take a look at our selection and choose your favorite! Stop by today - or if you’re out of town give us a call at 212-645-2858 to place a phone order by @greenwichlocksmiths
NYC Subway Token Keys are here 🚂🥇🗝 Before metro cards New Yorkers had subway tokens. Inscribed with the phrase “Good For One Fare” you would drop one into the turnstile and go through - it was all mechanical! The NYC subway token is a symbol of old New York, but the transit system it represents is alive and well today We are making a limited edition run of keys that use an authentic vintage NYC subway token as the head. We can even turn your house/apartment keys into NYC Subway Token keys These make great holiday gifts! Finally, thank you @newyorknico for stopping by last week and showing these to the world, we appreciate you 🗽 by @greenwichlocksmiths
