We are proud to announce our upcoming panel, a conversation exploring the evolving place of photography within the fine arts. The discussion will consider how artists, institutions, and audiences continue to redefine photography’s role, examining both its expanding possibilities and the barriers that shape its reception and value.

We are honored to welcome
Chip Moody — Chicago-born artist whose work inserts Black narratives into the photographic canon. BFA, School of the Art Institute of Chicago; MFA, Georgia State University; 2024 Emerging Artist Fellow, Atlanta Center for Photography.

Lindsey O’Connor — Executive Director, Atlanta Center for Photography; former Biennial Coordinator, Whitney Museum of American Art (2017, 2019, 2022); curator and writer with experience at the Guggenheim, High Museum of Art, and American Federation of Arts.

Their contributions continue to expand photography’s role in contemporary discourse and shape how the medium lives within today’s broader artistic landscape.

Join us at 1039 Marietta St NW on Saturday 1st at 6pm.

We want to extend our sincere gratitude to the @atlantacenterforphotography for their partnership in our show. Their collaboration and support were instrumental in bringing Grit to life! by @grit.artshow

Kael Vox captures the raw and unfiltered pulse of humanity. Her work is unpolished, experimental, and deeply intimate, blurring the line between film and photography, between imperfection and truth. From black and white backyard beginnings to award-winning cinematography in Tokyo, Kael’s eye finds beauty in the moments often left in shadow. This is not just passion. It is purpose. A celebration of emotion, imperfection, and the stories that make us feel.
Come see her work starting this Tuesday at 1039 Merietta st. NE at 6:30 by @grit.artshow

GRIT opens today!

A show about persistence, surface, and the stories matter leaves behind.
Artists who carve, scar, and rebuild their worlds through texture and resistance.
Each work carries its own wound—its own refusal to disappear.

Opening reception — Tuesday, October 14 | 6–9 PM
