Curiosity Starts Here… At GSIS, we believe curiosity is the spark that ignites every great discovery. The 2027 Gala celebrates that spirit. It is the curiosity that drives our students, our teachers and the pioneers who changed how we see the world. This year, our tables are named after pioneers whose curiosity changed how we see the world. From Einstein to Goethe, Klee, Pfeiffer, and Schmid, each table honours a curious mind across eras and disciplines. But beyond the celebration, the Gala has a meaningful purpose. It raises funds for student initiatives and campus projects at GSIS. Every contribution helps make a lasting difference. 📅 Saturday, 20 March 2027 📍 Hong Kong Ocean Park Marriott Hotel Save the date. We hope you will join us for another unforgettable evening in support of our students and school. For more details or to book your table, please visit the link in our bio. #GSIS #GermanSchoolsAbroad #WeAreGSIS #GSISGala2027 by @gsishk
What an incredible year for our Class of 2026! 🎓✨ Our final IBDP and Abitur results are in and we could not be more proud of the entire class! Following a successful remark process, five more IBDP students from our English International Stream have achieved the maximum score of 45, bringing our total IBDP top scorers to 13. One third of the cohort scored 44 or 45 points, and 78% achieved 40 points or above. The average score sits at an impressive 42, with all 63 students passing the IB Diploma. One student also earned a Bilingual Diploma. Over in the German International Stream, our cohort of 7 students achieved an average Abitur score of 1.79, with one student scoring a perfect 1.0. These results are a wonderful reflection of the hard work of our students, as well as the support from our parent community and teaching staff. We are so proud of everything this class has achieved. #GSIS #GermanSchoolsAbroad #WeAreGSIS #GSISClassOf2026 by @gsishk

Celebrating unity, history and tradition! 🇩🇪✨ Last week, our community came together to honour German Unity Day, reflecting on the culture that connects us as part of the German Schools Abroad network. Celebrations began with a favourite tradition organised by our Parents’ Organisation for Community (POC), who arranged brezels for all our students, faculty and staff across both campuses! 🥨 A huge thank you to our parent volunteers. We were also honoured to welcome German Deputy Consul General Mr Oliver Bräuner to our IB Hall for a special assembly with our students. 🎓 Later in the week, our student vocalists took centre stage at the official reception hosted by the German Consulate General Hong Kong, performing the German national anthem for Hong Kong officials and community leaders. 🎶 A memorable moment for our school. #GSIS #GermanSchoolsAbroad #WeAreGSIS @germanyinhk by @gsishk

Recently, a very special dragon boat training session took place on the water. 🛶 Our parents, teachers and K07 students from the German International Stream came together for an action-packed session. For many of our K07 students, it was their first time in a dragon boat, learning firsthand what it means to work as one team. First-timers and experienced paddlers soon found the same rhythm. Beyond the physical challenge, our students discovered the importance of communication, timing and trusting their teammates. Every stroke was a lesson in patience and coordination. It was a wonderful reminder that dragon boat is more than a sport. It is about trust, teamwork and moving as one. #GSIS #GermanSchoolsAbroad #WeAreGSIS by @gsishk

A very special guest arrived at our Pok Fu Lam Campus this week and it was not your average visitor! 🐉 The Pok Fu Lam Village Chief brought the spectacular Fire Dragon to campus as part of our Mid-Autumn Festival celebrations. Our students could not believe their eyes as the dragon danced its way through the school, right in front of them. It was a first for our school and a wonderful way to connect our youngest learners with a cherished local tradition. Thank you to our special guests for sharing this magical experience with us.
