Hezekiah received a threatening message from the king of Assyria, 😔

whose army had conquered other nations. Rather than relying solely on his own strength, Hezekiah took the threatening letter into the house of the Lord and spread it before Him in prayer.🙌🏿

The situation looked frightening, but Hezekiah knew where to take his fear.🙏🏿

Not every battle requires you to respond with arguments or panic. Sometimes, the first thing you need to do is take the matter to the One who sees beyond what you can see.🙌🏿😊 by @gta.pparel

A DESIGNER'S JOB IS NOT ONLY TO SEW YOUR IDEA

Most times, you show us a picture and say:

“Please, I want this exact style.”

We don't just agree to that.

Because our job is not just to take fabric and sew.

Our job is to ask:

Will this style look good on you?

Is this fabric suitable for the design?

Will the colour flatter you?

Do we need to make some adjustments?

Will you be comfortable wearing it?

Sometimes, the picture you bring is the inspiration, not the final answer.

A good designer should be able to look at your idea and say:

“Yes, we can do it.”

Or…

“Let’s change this part so it will look even better on you.”

That is not the designer trying to change your mind.

That is the designer doing their job.

Think about it like this:

If you take your car to a mechanic and say,
“Please fix this exact part.”

A good mechanic will still check the car first.

Because you may know what you want fixed, but the professional knows what needs to be done.

The same thing applies to fashion.

You bring the vision.

We bring the expertise.

Together, we create the outfit.

So, the next time your designer asks you questions about your fabric, body shape, colour, comfort or the occasion, don't think they're disturbing you.

They're trying to make sure you don't just wear a beautiful outfit, you wear an outfit that looks beautiful ON YOU.

And honestly, isn't that the goal?

Have you ever shown a designer a picture and they suggested changing something? Tell me in the comments, did you listen? 👇🏽

I am deeply overwhelmed by the blessings of God upon my life, and my heart is filled with gratitude for all He has been and continues to be to me.

He asked us to cast our cares upon Him, and when I did, He did not disappoint me. Even when it felt like there was no hope, He showed up. When I could not see a way, He made a way. Through it all, He has remained faithful, and up until this very moment, His faithfulness has never failed me.

As I step into this new phase of my life, I pray for the wisdom to navigate it, the favour to thrive in it, and the altitude to rise above every limitation.

May I continually be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, fruitful, deeply rooted, and flourishing in every season.

I shall be blessed among my equals. The works of my hands shall continually be blessed. Doors shall open for me, opportunities shall locate me, and my life shall be a testimony of God's goodness.

People shall look at me and call me blessed.

This new chapter shall speak of God's faithfulness, favour, and abundant grace upon my life.

And I know this: the God who brought me this far will not leave me halfway.

Amen. 🙏🏽

Happy birthday to ME.
