Finished my second marathon today. It was the hardest thing I have ever done. I almost quit twice. I had to walk, and I even had to lie down. And I did not break 4 hours. That’s okay.

But enough about me. I want to talk about Bi. She had cramps from the moment she started and she still finished in 4 hours and 28 minutes. I don’t even know how to say how proud I am. She just kept going. It is a privilege to see her determination up close.

Thank you for being you. I love you so much, and having you by my side makes everything better. I would pick you every single time. 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️❤️ by @bibatistaa

Grateful for every km of this, even the brutal ones. A year of running, and the last few months of early mornings in the rain, running in the cold, injuries, physio sessions and all the rest of it. Yesterday it all came together. 42km is a lot but having @bibatistaa training with me every step of the way, and running her own half marathon yesterday, made the whole thing mean so much more. I truly hope everyone gets to have someone like that in their life. Still taking it in. taken in Vancouver, British Columbia by @bibatistaa
