Morehouse College Man of the Year 2024 by @h.ryans.iii

July Academic Era Dump

If I’m being honest, July was rough. Two months post-grad and even though I have stuff to do there are days where nothing feels right. I miss my community. I miss my people in the same ways I missed my family when I left home for Morehouse four years ago. I had the honor of traveling to Stanford for a research project and it was amazing! Even though most nights I spent studying for the GRE which was always too much after working with kids all day. There are times where I am extremely confused on what to do with all this extra time. I create my schedule; I decide what’s worth learning; and I get to be very intentional with all of my time. But at the end of the day, there’s beauty in this struggle. There’s comfort in knowing that I finished college and that I am constantly moving towards my goals.

Onwards and Upwards.

11 Days and the stress is ✨stressing✨ nevertheless, I’ve gotten this far by the grace of God and hard work. Giving up now would mean almost 100 hours work done for nothing.

Word of advice: know your deadlines! And always ask questions.
