This how we do it 🏆🍾🎊

Let me just start by saying I was not expecting this. I casually opened instagram to remember my baked oats recipe to instead find my hard work showcased 😆😱

I cannot explain how ecstatic and over the moon I’m feeling!! Thank you so much to @bgf_lirio and @inba_new_england! I truly appreciate this and it means more than you know!

done and dusted 😮‍💨

This post is a little late BUTTT whateverr — it’s been quite a bumpy road since starting prep in June, but we ultimately landed in a great place with my coach @sarah.gleasonnn, who has been there to guide and support me every step of the way.

As we begin this partnership together, I’m extremely grateful for her encouragement and support, along with my friends and family who stayed by my side throughout the process.

Bodybuilding has a way of putting things into perspective, especially when the journey starts to feel a little isolating. You sacrifice nights out, late nights with friends, and spontaneous plans to prioritize the commitments and responsibilities you’ve made to yourself. It’s not always easy, but it’s part of what makes this journey so rewarding.

This prep truly tested how badly I wanted it. There were moments that were mentally challenging and physically exhausting, but those are often the very moments that build us into stronger versions of ourselves. Sometimes it takes a little time and distance to fully understand the lessons that come from those experiences, but they’re lessons that stick with you and continue to shape your mindset and decisions moving forward.

For the remainder of the year, I’m taking the time to enjoy the holidays and embrace a much-needed off-season. My focus is on recovering from a few injuries that came toward the tail end of prep, rebuilding, and laying the foundation for what’s next.

Next stop: NPC debut. 🤝

lets’s reflect ⬇️

Hailey came to Coach Sarah 11 weeks out from her pro debut.

She'd already started prep elsewhere, but she trusted us to bring her home.

Over those 11 weeks, we dropped about 10 pounds.

We refined her training with real intention for her division, and added strategic refeeds to keep her fullness while we tightened everything up.

Her body comp was already in a great place, so that gave us room to work smart, not just hard.

The result: 1st place, Open Bikini Diva, INBA/PNBA natural league.

Hailey’s committed to becoming her best as a natural athlete and we’re excited to see her growth as she game plans for what’s next.

Huge congratulations to my athlete Hailey on her PNBA PRO DEBUT today and being crowned the BIKINI DIVA CHAMPION! 🏆✨

I had the honor of taking over Hailey’s prep for the final 11–12 weeks and I couldn’t be more proud of the progress we were able to make for today.

But none of that happens without an athlete who is willing to WORK. Hailey showed up, executed, stayed dedicated, and trusted every adjustment we made along the way.

So proud of you, Hailey. I’m excited to see where we take this next. We’re just getting started. 🔥 by @haileycardenales

you don’t know what you don’t know, right? 👇🏽

If you’re going into a heavy leg or glute day, don’t just walk in and start loading the bar. 😭 Your warm-up should prepare your body for what you’re about to ask it to do.

This has been one of my go-to warm-ups before a heavy lower body day ⬇️

1. Glute foam rolling
I used to think foam rolling was only for cool-downs, but after my coach introduced it as part of my warm-up, I started to understand how helpful it can be before training.

I love starting here to get some blood flow into the area and loosen up any muscles that feel tight or restricted. It can temporarily improve mobility and change how a muscle feels before training — just don’t expect it to literally break up your fascia or make your muscles grow lol.

2. Dynamic abductor stretch
I feel like a lot of people still aren’t sure which dynamic stretches to do before a workout, so this is one I’ve been doing consistently before lower body training.

I prefer dynamic movement before lifting rather than holding long static stretches. This gets my hips moving through a larger range of motion while gradually preparing my abductors and glutes for the work ahead.

3. Banded hip thrusts
This one is BIG for me. I recently started adding banded hip thrusts to my warm-up, and I’ve been loving the extra emphasis they give me before a heavy lower body session.

I’ll still do a few lighter reps right before my working set to practice the movement pattern and make sure my form feels natural. Adding banded hip thrusts beforehand gives me more time to focus on feeling my glutes work before I load up the weight.

It helps me make sure I’m driving through my glutes before the weight gets heavy — not halfway through my working set when my lower back starts doing all the work. 🫠

The goal of a warm-up isn’t to exhaust yourself before your workout. It’s to get your body ready to perform.

Move well → activate → then load it up. 🍑

Save this for your next heavy leg/glute day 🤝🏼
