THE PROCESS OF ALTAIR 🔨 🖌️

Here are some snippets of the work involved to create this space, I’m so proud of what we achieved in a few weeks and this couldn’t have happened without my fiancée, family and friends.
Thankyou everyone 🫶🏻

Feeling incredibly grateful for all the love, first week is finished at Altair and we have barely even started.
‘Altair’ has many meanings but one of them is the brightest star in the sky and that’s exactly what we are aiming for!💫

A little honesty post 🤎

Owning a business isn’t just about doing what you love.

It’s the pressure, the responsibility, the self-doubt, and the endless list of things nobody sees.
But despite all of that… I wouldn’t choose anything else and I’m so proud of what @altair.salon is becoming! by @hairbyarif

Unpopular opinion… not every blonde needs to be brighter.

Most of the time, I’m actually adding depth back into the hair. It gives the blonde somewhere to sit, makes the colour last longer and keeps it looking natural as it grows out.

It’s probably the bit clients notice the least during the appointment, but it’s often what makes the biggest difference.

Dreamy blondes ☁️

Since the transition over to @davinesofficial my colours have never looked better and healthier! Obsessed with the new ‘Present time’ Demi range which resorts condition, repairs bonds and gives UV protection. Honestly is a game changer!

There’s cutting hair… and then there’s refining it.

At Altair, Arif works with a razor not just as a tool, but as a technique that completely transforms the way hair moves, sits, and grows out. This isn’t about taking length off quickly, it’s about sculpting the hair so it feels effortless every single day.

Razor cutting allows for soft, feathered edges rather than blunt lines. You’ll notice the difference instantly. Hair falls more naturally, blends seamlessly, and has that light, airy texture that’s hard to achieve with scissors alone. It’s especially beautiful for creating movement through the mid-lengths and ends, removing weight without sacrificing fullness.

If you’ve never experienced a razor cut before, this is your sign. It’s one of those subtle upgrades that completely elevates your hair without you even realising why it looks so good.

Stan is clearly the most important team member 🐶🤎

Turns out the signs were there all along… baby Arif gripping a hairbrush like he already owned the salon. Meanwhile the rest of the team were just chaotic little kids, completely unaware they’d grow up to be hairdressers, beauticians and the people behind the Altair socials. ✨
