The ring doorbell footage was wrong she was getting her hair done when it happened 🤐🤞🏼 LETS TALK SOCIAL MEDIA🫸🏻 One of the main worries my students come with is ‘my Instagram is brand new - how will I ever be as good as everyone else?’ And the answer is simple - AI isn’t coming for our jobs, it’s a hands on individual service. We are needed in the real world. It may be daunting to see people on social media with thousands of followers, getting loads of engagement and views and yes for the majority it does bring in new clientele… but that doesn’t always measure their in person success. For perspective I have had this Instagram for over 12 years - I have just over 6k followers (which in hindsight isn’t a lot) however I never actively worked for that, i don’t follow 272727 people, I don’t post 24/7, I’m not constantly active on the stories, I’m not a huge big influencer. I post because I have pride in my work. Yet I made a TikTok last year and have nearly 9k followers and hit over 2m views on one video alone. But what does that mean to me? Does it mean I feel successful? Do I feel any less of a stylist because I don’t have as many as someone else? No - because 15 years ago, before social media was big I was a stylist who relied SOLELY on word of mouth. I relied on providing the best service and hair style I could so my client would tell her friend, who’d tell her boss, who’d tell her niece and built on that. Now my diary is full every single week, without posting 24/7, if I get cancellations they get refilled instantly & I have clients who have been with me since day 1. So whilst a glimmering social media account is amazing and a LOT of effort goes into them 👏🏼🤍 if you’re in the industry, just starting out or constantly watching your views and feeling a bit down about it remember… our real views, likes and followers come from our real life work! It’s better to have 20 real clients who provide you with a wage than 200 extra views I promise no matter what area of the hair and beauty industry your in - YOU ARE NEEDED & your social media doesn’t always define you, your clients that trust you & by @hairupsbydaisy
Girls I have had so many messages recently asking if I’m still doing SPMU - and the answer is YES 💋 But I have had the busiest wedding season so I’ve been super behind on posting, so as a little treat (and to update my socials) I’ve opened the above slots HEAVILY discounted - please note you must be comfortable infront of the camera, don’t suffer from coldsores and complete the correct medical consultation before booking to be suitable for this treatment 🤍 Booking available via DM only 🤍🤍🤍 by @hairupsbydaisy

‘I hate having my hair up ‘ ‘I want it up but I also want to feel like it’s down’ something I hear ALL the time… There is an old school fear of a hair up feeling crunchy, heavy, tight and too ‘done’ My absolutely stunning client explained the above , wanting something low, undone & just the right amount of volume to complement her natural beauty with pieces out… and what a truly beautiful outcome 😍🤍 I may look like ‘just a hairstyle’ when you look at a photo/reel but behind it is a science and a knowledge built on years of experience to achieve as close as possible as your clients desired style. Keep your eyes peeled as something veryyyyy exciting is coming to @hairupsbydaisy - stylists who feel like they can’t trouble shoot I’ve got you 👏🏼😉🎥🧪🧬 by @hairupsbydaisy
