We were too excited to share the lineup for Baddlands Fest Denver, this one is special because @hakeemfurious is not just an artist/poet/speaker, but he is also one of our hosts and he runs his very own Slam Poetry organization called @nuba_period 🔥

Slam Nuba is an award-winning performance poetry organization based in Denver, Colorado. Originating in 2006 as a program of the Pan African Arts Society and certified by Poetry Slam Inc, Slam Nuba has become a collective of many of the nation’s finest poets, including Amy Everhart, the 2010 Individual World Poetry Slam Champion & Dominique Ashaheed, the 2012 Women of the World Poetry Slam Champion.

Make sure to grab your tickets for this legendary event August 29th to hear and witness greatness and get inspired.

Anyone whose known me longer than a year know that I was a major sad dad. Grumpy. Not excited about life. This past year has been the best year I’ve had in my life. I gained a partner and fell in love, became stable, got healthy, finally got a big bag, got a new job, made new friends, started businesses and just became disgustingly happy and im just so grateful. I have to remind myself everyday “I have a good Life now” and I’m celebrating all the wins and all my people. I feel great about life and I just want that for everyone. Here is to 31!
