How your own expectations kills Gods elevation The more we put on our plate, the more drive we have to do what WE think is what’s good for us. • Luke 21:34: Jesus instructs his followers to "watch yourselves lest your hearts be weighed down with dissipation and drunkenness and cares of this life". Yes your goal may be, a house, new car, full time job. These aren’t necessarily bad things but when they become our Gods we work towards, then yes, they are not good. Don’t let what you want in your timing take away from what God wants in his timing. • Romans 12:2
Christians should guard their minds and hearts from sinful fantasies and evil thoughts.

We as humans are so quick to want what we want WHEN we want it. When in all reality all of Gods blessings cannot be stopped and he certainly can’t be stopped either. He is more wise than what we will ever be. He knows what’s best. • Hebrews 4:12: The word of God can judge the intentions and thoughts of the heart. When our expectations are to “graduate at this time” or “be married by this age” or “have kids by 30” all we are doing is putting our will and desires above what God knows we need. We should work towards his will not our own. Proverbs 12:11
"Those who work their land will have abundant food, but those who chase fantasies have no sense".  God is probably saying “if they keep going this route in hustling, or manipulating situations my blessings will be delayed” Don’t delay what God has for you simply for what you THINK is best for you. Don’t you know God already knows our hearts completely. • Psalm 139:2: God knows our innermost fantasies. Above all else our goals shouldn’t be for ourselves 24/7. We should be doing the will of our father. He will provide every need and is still faithful to bless us. •Matthew 6:33 33 But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you. WHO KNOWS? HE MAY TURN AND RELENT AND LEAVE A BLESSING BEHIND HIM-GRAIN AND DRINK OFFERINGS FOR THE LORD YOUR GOD. - JOEL 2:14 by @haleynicoles
Your flesh loves framework . framework is a structured set of guidelines, concepts, or tools used to support and streamline a particular process, system, or project. It provides a foundation for developing solutions while allowing flexibility for customization. What you set yourself up to believe will overall be the reality of your own delusions. Proverbs 14:12 (NIV): “There is a way that appears to be right, but in the end it leads to death. The more you fuel your flesh the more easy it is to believe something that is not true perspective of your situation. Galatians 6:8 (NIV): “Whoever sows to please their flesh, from the flesh will reap destruction; whoever sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life.” Another relevant verse is Romans 8:6 (NIV): “The mind governed by the flesh is death, but the mind governed by the Spirit is life and peace.” Workout your spirit. what you need is to spread your spirit. 4:7-8 (NIV): “Have nothing to do with godless myths and old wives’ tales; rather, train yourself to be godly. For physical training is of some value, but godliness has value for all things, holding promise for both the present life and the life to come.” Galatians 5:16 (NIV): “So I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh.” You need to wake up every morning intentional and go to bed every night grateful. Psalm 90:12 (NIV): “Teach us to number our days, that we may gain a heart of wisdom.” 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 (NIV) is powerful: “Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.” ….. continued by @haleynicoles
Jesus is never late, never too far ahead, he is always on time. 2 peter 3:9 “The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness.” If you have been chasing after the wind and things have failed time and time again maybe that’s your sign. It’s your sign to give everything; every doubt, fear, anxiety, ounce of sadness, unsteadiness, to God. Psalm 55:22 “Cast your burden upon the Lord and He will sustain you.” 1 Peter 5:6-7 “Humble yourselves, therefore, under God's mighty hand, that he may lift you up in due time. Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.” Maybe he preparing you to be better than your character is right now, maybe he’s preparing you for your future husband or wife, maybe he is trying to sculpt your character to be able to lead in your workplace, future friend groups and family. Proverbs 24:27 “Prepare thy work without, and make it fit for thyself in the field; and afterwards build thine house.” Proverbs 19:21 “Many are the plans in a man's heart, but it is the LORD's purpose that prevails.” But maybe, he just wants your heart. Matthew 18:12 “What do you think? If a man owns a hundred sheep, and one of them wanders away, will he not leave the ninety-nine on the hills and go to look for the one that wandered off? And if he finds it, truly I tell you, he is happier about that one sheep than about the ninety-nine that did not wander off. In the same way your Father in heaven is not willing that any of these little ones should perish.” Chasing after these things will only lead you empty. Unsatisfied seeking something to fill your heart in this world. Ecclesiastes 4:4 “And I saw that all toil and all achievement spring from one person's envy of another. This too is meaningless, a chasing after the wind.” Maybe all Jesus wants to do is touch your heart and heal it from all that has been broken, that has been weighing your mind and soul down. Psalm 34:18 "The lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit." …. by @haleynicoles
