With hearts full of love and sadness, the Chong ‘ohana shares that our beloved Tammy — the spirit, warmth, and guiding light of Halfway to Hana — has made her transition to heaven. 🙏🏻

Tammy was truly one of a kind. She gave everything she had to the people she loved and to this beautiful corner of Maui, which she transformed into a home for so many. Her kindness, honesty, and open heart touched everyone who met her. She truly had a gift for brightening life — always giving, always sharing, always spreading joy wherever she went.

Although nothing will ever be quite the same, her presence will forever be here: in every loaf of banana bread, every laugh shared at the picnic tables, and every smile that passes through this place.

As her family, we will continue to carry her love forward and keep her light shining for everyone who visits.

We miss her beyond words, but we know she’s watching over us — proud, peaceful, and surrounded by love.

Mahalo, Tammy. You will forever live in our hearts — and in the heart of Halfway to Hana. 🤍🌺 by @halfwaytohana

Always warm & always baked fresh 🫶🏽 followed by our 2nd best selling item, the one and only @islanddreambars 🏝️🥥🍫😋 by @halfwaytohana

I had the great opportunity to help my braddah out at the @halfwaytohana stand. Spend the day with me as I help those who are traveling that crazy “Road to Hana” next time you’re out on the Eastside grab a loaf of their famous banana bread! It’s one of my favorites from there but that’s just my #2cEnts #halfwaytohana by @halfwaytohana

For over 40 years, we’ve welcomed travelers with our homemade banana bread, Dream Bars, shave ice, and the true taste of Hawaii

But what really makes this place special is the people behind the counter
It’s our team — the smiles, the heart, and the aloha in everything we do 🥰

Mahalo for being part of our story ❤️
