🍂 Autumn understood the assignment! 🍁

And just like that, our final wedding of the season at Hallington Mill was one for the books!

Lee & Bethany couldn’t have asked for a more magical autumn wedding, and what a way to finish the season!

With that gorgeous crisp autumn air, the beautiful colours of the season and the barn as their backdrop, Lee & Bethany said their vows out on the lawn, surrounded by their favourite people. It was one of those ceremonies where everything just felt right. 🍂

And the celebrations? Just as good!

🌸 Absolutely stunning flowers by Alix, adding the perfect finishing touches to an already beautiful setting

🍽️ An incredible wedding feast from the wonderful Magic Hat team, who smashed it as always!

🍕 Late-night pizzas from Lucca, because there’s no better way to keep the party going than with a slice (or three!)

✨ And because apparently this wedding wasn’t magical enough already, the Northern Lights decided to make an appearance!

A beautiful ceremony, gorgeous flowers, incredible food, wonderful people, plenty of laughter and the actual sky putting on a show. How do you even top that?!

Lee & Bethany, what a wedding! Thank you for letting us be part of such a special day. We couldn’t have wished for a better celebration to round off an amazing season at Hallington Mill.

🌲 BETWEEN THE TREES 🌲

A year has flown since Annette & Ella held hands and said their wedding vows under the rustle of the trees at @hallington_mill
Their faces in the gorgeous autumn light stays with me, all their nervous melting away as they laid eyes on eachother. 🥹 such a joy seeing you finally reach this beautiful moments after months of planning

I hope today ladies you’re both out in nature again (with your gorgeous lab) holding hands, looking just as smitten with the sun in your faces reliving your day.
Happy first anniversary xx

We just loved being part of Rachel & Dans wedding celebrations. From their woodland ceremony with @lovekayuk to fine dining with @duckhouse_pantry then cocktail making followed by an amazing set to dance the night away too!

Their wedding soundtrack was amazing from chilled drinks reception to some absolute bangers on the dance floor. All expertly delivered by their friend and complete gentleman Biz.

Rachel & Dan designed & brought together their nearest & dearest for their own wedding stay. We welcomed them the day before their wedding day to settle in and enjoy setting up all their personal touches. Once all set up they wondered to the Mill to have drinks and snacks while watching the premier of Traitors!! They all gathered in the Mill cinema room on their wedding eve to watch it before retiring for an early night!!

With our two houses the Mill & Barn they both had space to prepare for their wedding day separately but both on site. All ready being here lead to a seamless romantic woodland wedding ceremony beneath the trees surrounded by their friends & family.

The rest of their wedding day they spent doing all the things they loved surrounded by their favourite people. Once some serious moves had been made on the dance floor they then wondered back to the Mill & Barn accommodation to rest and wake up to our gorgeous views, fresh air as husband and wife….a wedding stay well spent…huge congratulations Mr & Mrs Silver!

What a day for Emma & Sam at Hallington Mill! 🤍🍸🌿

Yesterday started with the most beautiful intimate woodland ceremony, with just their closest family there to watch them say “I do” 🌳

Then it was straight into the sunshine for a relaxed drinks reception with lawn games, plenty of drinks and delicious canapés from Magic Hat ☀️🥂

Wedding breakfast was all about bringing everyone together, with an incredible family-style sharing feast from Magic Hat, served alongside plenty of table wine 🍷

And then 4:30pm arrived… and the party REALLY started.

Evening guests joined us for an epic interactive cocktail hour 🍹

Mojitos and Margaritas were flowing, but with a twist — guests could completely customise their cocktails with raspberry, mango or passion fruit and create their own perfect drink.

Safe to say, people got VERY into it 😂🍸

Cocktails flowing, sunshine, lawn games, incredible food and a dance floor ready for the evening ahead.

Emma & Sam absolutely nailed the relaxed, fun wedding vibe — and we loved being part of it! 🤍

Cocktail hour might just be one of our favourite parts of a wedding 🍸

This was Paul & Nic’s cocktail hour, set up on our Piano Bar and ready for guests to enjoy after the formalities.

What we love most about cocktail hour is that no two ever feel the same. Different cocktails, different setups, different locations and completely different vibes depending on the couple and their day.

It’s that little window of time where everyone can relax, grab a drink and the wedding really starts to come alive.

From elegant spritzes in the sunshine to espresso martinis around the bar, we love creating a cocktail hour that feels completely at home at each wedding.

A WEDDING AT HALLINGTON MILL

Vicky + Jack created the most beautiful, personal and gloriously relaxed wedding day — and honestly, every little detail was gorgeous.

They made and decorated everything themselves, from the flowers (created by Vicky in the most beautiful colours) to the handmade place names and charity-shop finds that came together to create the loveliest tablescape.

But one of my absolute favourite things about their day was that everyone had to bring a dish.
So instead of a traditional wedding breakfast, dinner became this incredible banquet of everyone’s favourite comfort foods — all cooked, created and brought along by their loved ones. How amazing is that??!

Their day was small and intimate, surrounded by the people they had chosen to share it with. And then there was the pub quiz…
Vicky + Jack had created their own personal wedding pub quiz, and when they told me about it on our call, I got SO excited that I asked if I could play along. So, naturally, me and Danny (the videographer) joined in.
At one point, we were doing extremely well — sitting proudly in 2nd place. And then came the final round… questions about all the other guests.
Safe to say, that did NOT go well.. and we finished last.

But we had so much fun, and honestly, I highly recommend creating a personal pub quiz for your wedding. It’s such a brilliant way to get everyone chatting, laughing and learning more about each other.

We tried to watch the eclipse...We caught just the tiniest glimpse before the clouds rolled in, but somehow that made the moment even more special. Everyone gathered together on this little hill, looking up at the sky, sharing this completely impulsive moment together.

As the outsider, it was such a lovely thing to witness — watching everyone simply sit there together, taking in the world in front of them.

So take this as your sign, If you want an intimate, personal, slightly unconventional celebration surrounded by your favourite people - DO IT.

Yesterday was a double wedding day for us, with two brilliant couples and two completely different celebrations. First up, Gill and David at Hallington Mill.

It was our first time shooting at Hallington Mill and we definitely fell a little bit in love with the place.

The whole day had such a relaxed feel to it. Perfect weather meant they could have a beautiful outdoor ceremony and everyone could spill outside for lawn games, drinks and gelato, all while being serenaded by a violinist. Pretty hard to beat.

They carried that same vibe right through the day too. Pizza for the wedding breakfast, no speeches and no first dance — just a wedding that felt completely them.

🌲 INTO THE WOODS🌲

If you find someone who giggles at your giggles and embraces the fun side of life do NOT let them go.
Billy and Anna have this and it was a treat to fan the flames of silliness!
With @hallington_mill as their playground they married in the woods (the wonderful team at @weddingsinnorthumberland doing the honors), went wild with their bridal party across the field and smooched gleefully under twinkley lights - what more would you want?

I can not put into words how joyful and romantic and meaningful it was to capture Sarah and Joes wedding day.
