A snippet from @amruta_gauri 's walkthrough of A Moving Line exhibition at @mapbangalore

We're honoured to have Hallubol's work included in this remarkable exhibition celebrating the history of Indian comics. Thank you, Amruta, for bringing together such a thoughtful and much-needed exploration of India's rich legacy of visual storytelling and its many voices.

The exhibition will be on for the next few months, so if you're in Bangalore, do make the time to visit. It's a beautiful experience, and we'd love for you to share it with others too. by @hallubol

Stalwarts from the children's book industry shared their knowledge, some very useful insights and resources.

Lots of discussions...

A pinch of drama.

Some much needed book reading.

And also sharing about our books.

We visited @regal_publishers who showed us around.

Some tom foolery...

New friends made, new skills unlocked! Thank you for this incredible journey. by @hallubol

Mard Bann is a comic book that explores the emotional struggles of its main character Mansoor, a husband and father who deals with the traditional expectations of masculinity set by his father and society.

Written and illustrated by @rahil_mohsin and @alankrita.amaya and published by @hallubol this book got the attention of our Library members, the instantly introduced the cover and the title.

Set in bright and colourful illustrations, this unique story in a comic book format, urges readers and listeners to think about expectations on a male, set by the society.

The humour in the story made it very engaging for us to read this aloud, and children enjoyed looking at the pictures and laughing. However, as we moved on, and as the deeper meaning of this story began unfolding, conversations began. Something we are all surrounded with, but we never talk about, we are happy and glad that books like Mard Bann give us an opportunity to talk about societal expectations and its impact on our peace, happiness and well-being.

Behind the scenes and visual inspirations for #biryanikhaanejayinge, published in @comixense .

A road trip in search of Ramanagara biryani, complete with a ghostly encounter. This story wouldn’t have been possible without us actually being there. That’s why @cosmic_wake and @rahil_mohsin headed to Srirangapatnam on an Activa, mirroring the journey of the protagonists in the comic.

A special mention to Mr. Devaraja, our guide through Tipu Sultan’s palace, who generously shared stories, history, and little details we would’ve otherwise missed. We knew we had to immortalise him by making him a part of the comic itself.
