POSTS STORIES REELS

We’re honored to share that we’ve been awarded Best Catered Wedding at the 2026 CATIE Awards, hosted by the International Caterers Association 🥳🎉
This recognition would not have been possible without the collaboration of an incredible team of partners and vendors, including @reaganevents and our very own Senior Event Producer, Bellamy Purinton (@blanchebellamy), whose vision and leadership helped bring this event to life.

The award-winning celebration took place in Aiken, South Carolina, where we transformed a working farm into an elevated, luxury dining experience for 128 guests. Every detail - from logistics and service flow to presentation and guest atmosphere - was carefully crafted to create a seamless and unforgettable evening ✨

A special thank you to @sarahbradshawphoto for capturing the event so beautifully.

The CATIE Awards represent one of the highest honors in the catering industry, recognizing excellence in creativity, execution, and craft. We’re incredibly proud of our team and grateful to kick off 2026 with this exciting win! 🏆

There’s just something about a Lowcountry wedding that makes our Southern hearts skip a beat. 🤍

The moss-draped oaks, a cocktail in hand, your favorite people gathered in one place, and a spread of delicious food that’s almost as memorable as the happy couple.

From the first passed beef crostini to the last bite of wedding cake, we believe every little detail should feel like YOU. Because your wedding day deserves more than a beautiful menu. It deserves a dining experience your guests will talk about long after the last dance.

Around here, we like our Halloween with a little Southern hospitality and just the right amount of drama.

Moody florals, flickering candlelight, skulls tucked into the tablescape, dark linens, a “Til Death” glow in the garden, passed bites, and a grazing spread dressed for the occasion. This celebration at The Parsonage understood the assignment.

Proof that a Halloween wedding in Charleston can be romantic, playful, beautifully grown-up, and just spooky enough.

Till death do us party. 🥂

A downtown Charleston wedding at the Gibbes Museum already has plenty of style. Add a beautifully served dinner, lovely florals, little celebratory bites, and a sparkler-lit getaway, and you have the kind of evening guests never want to end.

We especially love how this celebration moved from refined to downright joyful without missing a beat.

Planning a museum wedding or downtown Charleston reception? Your catering should move with the evening, from the first cocktail to dinner to the final send-off, so guests always feel cared for without ever feeling rushed.

There is something about a fall wedding in Charleston that practically begs for candlelight, long tables, a beautiful tent, and dinner that invites everyone to linger.

This Runnymede celebration brought all of that together with an effortless mix of romance and fun. From a thoughtfully set table to cake, cocktails, and a very full dance floor, every part of the evening felt connected.

If you are planning a Charleston fall wedding, think about how you want the night to feel as much as how you want it to look. Warm, welcoming, delicious is always a good answer.

A little Southern hospitality, a whole lot of heart, and one incredible woman leading the way! 🥂💚

We are absolutely thrilled to celebrate our President & Owner, Candice Culbertson, on being named one of South Carolina’s 500 Most Influential Leaders of 2026 by the South Carolina Business Journal.

If you know Candice, you know her passion for bringing people together goes far beyond a beautifully set table. It’s in the relationships she builds, the opportunities she creates, the community she champions, and the love she pours into everything we do here at Hamby Catering & Events and The Rutledge Room. 🤍

From continuing a beloved Charleston tradition to shaping the future of Lowcountry hospitality, Candice reminds us that the very best kind of leadership starts with heart.

Join us in raising a glass to our fearless leader! We couldn’t be prouder of you, Candice.

Fall hosting rule number one: the hostess should actually get to enjoy her own party. ✨💚

A few delicious bites on the counter, something good to pour, friends gathered around the kitchen, and suddenly you have all the makings of a very good evening. The Market at Hamby is here for exactly that kind of entertaining.

Looking for an easier way to host at home (or at the ball field) this fall? Start with food you are excited to serve, take a little prep off your own plate, and save your energy for the best part: welcoming everybody in.

Black, white, gold, and just enough personality to keep things interesting. We love a wedding that knows how to dress up without forgetting to have fun.

At this Wingate Place celebration, timeless tablescapes met personalized cocktail napkins, margaritas, Guinness, passed bites, cake, and all those little touches that made the evening feel unmistakably theirs.

Planning an elegant Charleston wedding? Start with the experience you want your guests to have, then let everything from the menu to the cocktails tell the same story.

A beautiful Charleston wedding should feel polished, present, and effortlessly Southern - where every detail feels intentional, but nothing feels overdone.

This celebration had all the things we love: a garden-party setting, champagne in hand, passed hors d’oeuvres making the rounds, pretty tables, and a dance floor that clearly did not believe in an early bedtime. That balance of gracious and joyful is exactly what Southern entertaining is all about.

Wondering how to keep wedding guests happy from ceremony to send-off? Good food, an easy flow, and plenty of opportunities to raise a glass are a mighty fine place to start.
