Grey Knights Nemesis Dreadknight repose.

My labour of love is now complete, this sparked from an idea of not liking the original pose turned into something for most may not look like a lot, but for me, this pushed my Kitbash / reposing skills to a level I've never been to. In addition I got to test out my airbrush which I'm rather happy with.

Big shout out to everyone who helped point me in the right direction with this.

Lord of Virulence.

What an interesting model this was not only to build but to paint, so so many details and ways to approach this, I changed pace from the usual weathering on my Death Guard models. No rust. No corrosion. Had fun trying out some new ways of wet blending the fleshy parts and safe to say I'm happy with the result. The basic green with some highlights and focally wanted this model to be a cleaner one. Just some Nurgles Rot at the end.

So last night was my first game of 40k in over a month... I have gotten into Magic The Gathering recently and that's kinda taken over.. So with a good friend asking for a game to practice for a potential tournament, using his copy of the prepainted terrain, how could I refuse?! Tyranids Vs CSM Iron Warriors..
The game started very well a lot of ebb and flow on the point scoring, even had one Norn vs Lord of Skulls battling it out for the center objectives! 👀 Ultimately we called it at the end of turn 4 with Alex winning 68-66. Top game my friend.

Well being my first Xenos model I'm happy to be back painting with a Necron scheme that was pretty quick and simple enough to do!

Are you sick of me posting about JRR Tolkien yet? No?

Good,.... being a huge Tolkien fan and living where he lived, studied and taught never gets old but getting to share all of this with my friends is something that will never get old or boring.

So come with us as our little Fellowship went on our own little adventure throughOxford, seeing the places that inspired Tolkien and where he spent a huge amount of his life.

Maybe I should start doing these Tolkien tours for a living 🤔 lol 😆

Last week I had the pleasure of visiting Oxford with @dazmaul_hobbies @dusty_minis and @hampsterhobbies where we were lucky enough to have a rarewalk around Merton college where JRR Tolkien once studied and taught! We were able to see the tolkien table where he sat and wrote parts of The Lord Of The Rings and what inspire the council of elrond, his dorm room where he was inspired to conjure the towers of orthanc and minas morgul and tree that he sat under in one of his famous pictures! A huge tick on the bucket list and a cracking bunch of dudes to spend the weekend with and thankyou so much daz for having us!

Had the absolute best time with these lads, Showing them around my neck of the woods and all things Tolkien (and a lot of lesser known Tolkien things too). I love Showing people around these beautiful places and it's all made better by getting to do that with some of the best friends a nerd could ask for.

1. Outside Radcliffe Camera
2,3 & 4. Sat at the Tolkien table in Merton college where Tolkien sat and worked on the later parts of the Lord of the Rings, this is also said to have inspired the council of Elrond
5. Outside Carfax Tower
6. Inside the Lamb and Flag pub, the place the Inklings moved their meetings to from the Eagle and Child during later years.

Once again i didn't take enough photos, but it's more about living in and enjoying the actual moment. by @hampsterhobbies

Painting my Red Corsairs Raiders has been a definite jump in my skill, probably the smoothest armour for highlights and shades and a face... By far the best face I've ever painted. Yes the zoomed in images still show imperfections but I did freehand tattoos!!! Looking back and comparing this to February 2025 to what was my then best miniature. This is something I'm proud of.

Also....the last image was the best of Feb 2025 for comparison

Quick WIP of the Red Corsair Raiders I'm painting up at the moment. Having a blast with these and trying to push myself to do more on the models
