That’s what we are all about, provenance, sustainability, the stories, the time taken, slow art. Items you will cherish and love, items you will hand down❤️

This beautiful painting by @sarahmiddletonfineart is now hanging in our gallery on Bisley Street, Painswick. It is sublime. We don’t think it will be long before it finds its new home!

Welcome to Rachel of RJ Ceramics. Her individual earthenware pieces are eclectic, vibrant and made to be used. A signature bowl or plate will brighten your table and is sure to be a talking point when you are entertaining. Bold and beautiful, we love her work!

Come and see for yourself at Handmade in the Uk, 11 Great Norwood Street, Cheltenham.
Open Wednesday to Saturday 10-4pm

Very pleased to welcome Caroline of Weaving Cats to Handmade In the UK… her beautiful handwoven scarves are now on display in store - they are soft, snuggly and perfect for this autumn weather.

Artist @tania_.fullerton_artist creates stunning interior paintings which almost always have a window onto a view or a deeper perspective… they demonstrate immense skill in draftsmanship as well as a sublime sense of colour and a generous dash of intrigue… you can almost sense the perfume of the person who just left the room… we love these as well as her gorgeous still life miniatures. We have a range in both of Cheltenham and Painswick galleries.

Simply love these gorgeous breadboards. Handmade from maple and cherry wood and finished with food safe mineral oil and beeswax. They measure approx 50cms x 23cms

Local wildlife provides endless inspiration to the artists and artisans that we work with - we have some wonderful examples of how our artists muses have been captured in clay, wool, glass and silver…

This is Maeve, my daughter’s cat who has come to live with us for a year! As you can imagine it’s been a bit crazy getting her settled with Stanley but I think they love each other now☺️
Maeve cards are back in stock now called Regal cat by Izzy R.

Right, we need to make a confession. 🎄

We have a firm rule here at Handmade in Painswick and Handmade in the Uk: no Christmas until after Halloween. But you’ve been asking, and asking, and (very nicely) asking again, so we’ve made one little exception.

Our first Christmas cards have arrived! 🐦 Jan Randall’s robin and pheasant designs are in the shop now, and we think they’re rather lovely.

Consider it a gentle early nudge. The rest of the festive stock will wait until the pumpkins have gone, we promise. 🎃

Pop in and choose yours, or find them online (link in bio). Which one is your favourite, the robin or the pheasants? Tell us below 👇
